We had 12 strikers we were after and we are now at the bottom of that list. Hopefully that means number 12 and the list got better on the way down.

**** sake Brown

I hope strikers number 10, 11 and 12 don't read that. He really needs to shut that big mouth of his at times. No wonder nobody wants to bloody play for him.

SO according to Phil we have missed out on 12 strikers alone this month plus god knows how many previously outlined, I do hope he is bluffing otherwise that would surely look very poor given 4 months at least to get a couple in.? Relying on good fortune with Ranger, plus just Mooney the prolific striker and Cox, with a touch of Williams is a very high risk strategy.

I certainly wouldn't want to play for him, his public utterances are getting more embarrassing by the day!

Missed out on SEB as well apparently.

We weren't in for him? There is no point describing every player who signed for someone else as someone we missed out on- someone described George Moncur as someone we missed out on earlier- no we didn't we were never in for him.

If the deadline comes and we have not signed a forward it will be disappointing.. on the other hand suspect we will then sign Theo Robinson. Not a complete disaster and someone many on here have in the past suggested we bring back- not best case but not a disaster.. but lets see.

Totally agree.

First there was describing King as just a Swansea under-21, a matter of days after signing him (nice one Phil). Then he comments that Jack Bridge's performance was like watching men against boys (again, nice one Phil - definitely going to help his confidence). Now he's spouting this bollocks.

Words fail me.

I know he is not everyone's cup of tea but we could have had a fit Tyrone Barnett on day 1 of the season, we lead him along until Cox signed.

I wonder if there is still time to blink on Simpson? Clearly we have some dosh available and our new signings are loanees, I know they have wages and costs but its not like we have shelled out in recent times and I may have misunderstood but wasnt money on the table in other bids?

This is an extraordinary comment from Brown. I've no doubt he may be tired but this is sending out the wrong message in so many ways. Firstly, if he does sign a striker how is he going to feel? Motivated? Really wanted? Secondly, the whole club, most importantly the fans, are needing a lift and comments such as this are just depressing. His job is to lead and inspire, both the fans and the staff, and I' afraid he seems to be increasingly failing in this regard.

I hope, as someone suggested, that this is double bluff and that an exciting announcement will be made which will lift everyone. If it isn't, then we will need someone who can give the club that lift. For the first time, I'm starting to think that Brown isn't capable of that.

Whilst I agree he doesnt always help himself with what he say King has played zero times for Swansea (other than a sub appearance in a cup game) so thats what he was?
