Not for me.

He's tall but that's about it. Remember him being an accident waiting to happen.
hopefully, if we use the experience of Ferdinand correctly, it might be possible for him to 'bring along' a less experienced(and tall) younger player up to a decent level! Right now I would pair Ferdinand with Sokolik if we fail to bring in another centre half in the next few days!

Federico Mecheda is available. Had his contract terminated by Cardiff. Wages would be a problem though and I can't see him dropping down to our level.

There isn't actually anyone expecting us to sign anyone before tomorrow's deadline is there?

I'm not expecting anyone other than maybe one of the trialists.

Brown will hopefully then bugger off and use lack of backing as a reason in an attempt to secure another job.

Adam Barrett and Kevin Maher will then take over as temporary management and oversea champagne football as we surge up the table.

Still no change apparently in the Jay Simpson situation according to CP.

Would take a big change by either club now to make this happen so close to deadline day....

CP has previously said the club are remaining tight lipped about Jay Simpson.

It's possible they have asked him to do the same, which is why he's saying the situation is still the same.

Is the phrase "tight lipped" still relevant in today's world? Presumably one can still type in a message on a device whilst keeping one's mouth shut! :omg:

Really, enough is ENOUGH! This whole business is just getting bloody ridiculous. I haven't got time to research it but exactly how many other League One sides are running around at the last minute, like headless chickens, attempting to complete their squad???? Surely someone has screwed up BIGTIME here. Even if we make signings tomorrow it still smacks more of last minute desperation than calculation.........I'm becoming a big time doubter of all this b******s about sensitive and difficult negotiations slowing the process up.
Eenie meenie miney mo............who's c****d up, is it Phil or is it Ron???? Either Ron hasn't been backing PB as he should have been with his signings. Otherwise PB has been setting his sights too high or is proving as adept with his signings as he has often been with his substitutions! I can remember it being bad before but surely NEVER THIS BAD? How many of the eleven points we've already dropped this season could have been avoided, if we'd had a full squad at the start of August? How important could those lost points be when we arrive at the end of the season???
OK..........rant over.........I feel better for that!
