Apparently Reid has failed two medicals at two different clubs this summer and has a severe attitude problem.

So basically, we're probably going to sign Reuben Reid.

Beat me to it, was speaking about him today at work with and Argyle fan and he said the exact same. Also said he wasn't all that last season, very hit and miss.

The striker must be Reid

Just hope the Swansea youngster is a quality center back!

Where's the Swansea rumour from?

The one's I've seen mentioned are:

A Premiership midfielder on loan - presumably Sam McQueen
L2 striker - Rueben Reid or the return of Jabo Ibhere
L1 goalscoring midfielder - probably Michael Doughty

CP on twitter said a top league 2 striker and also a premier league youngster from the swans.

What about the midfielder we have offered money for?

Reuben Reid
Jay Simpson
John Akinde

If it's a free transfer then it's surely Reuben? If not I wouldn't mind Jay Simpson although we'd need to spend some money

Akinde has recently signed a new long term contract with Barnet and Simpson is well out of our price range. He is on very good money at Orient which we couldn't match and we wouldn't pay a big fee which they would want.

Could the Swansea loanee be Stephen Kingsley? 22 was on loan at Crewe & Yeovil last season and a Scottish U21.

He's a left back, I was assuming that "Premiership midfielder on loan" and "young Swansea player on loan" were one and the same - my money is on:

Adam King https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_King_(footballer)

Jay Fulton https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jay_Fulton

or

Josh Sheehan https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Sheehan

What about the swans youngster some people were raving about a season or so ago when they signed him.. Grimes was it? Maybe the striker could be the return of BBBC!

I myself read the Chris Phillips statement as it was 2 players, one being a Swansea youngster and the other player being a division two scorer.

I really hope it's not one of your 3 options, they have only scored a combined total of 11 goals between all three of them! and 7 out of the 11 goals have been at either the second tier of Scottish football or the fourth tier of English football.

As a 4th striker at the right price Reuben Reid would be a great signing not withstanding he appears high maintenance- Cox, Ranger, Mooney, Reid- that would be a line up far exceeding any expectations I would have had at the end of last season.

Doesn't say the loanee is a midfielder but the midfielder mentioned previously was a prem midfielder so either it's the same person or we are looking at two loanees and it's a Swans CB

Pretty sure he spent a lot of last season injured though. A typical PB signing then!

Could it be a Swansea youngster that was on loan in league 1 last season and was a goal scoring midfelder?

If we are still looking for an experienced & quality centre back (as well as cover for a right back), we couldn't go far wrong with Anton Ferdinand.

He's an unattached free agent that has been released from Reading at the end of June. A southern based player, with West ham youth & senior, as well as playing for QPR, & obviously Reading as I mentioned.

I would imagine the only stumbling block, would be his wage demands, and his possible influence on Ranger
