If INNIS is it, then Phils " today is massive for the club" or we are in trouble statement, could mean just what he said for a change we are in trouble?

If the results don't pick up once Wordsworth and Timlin are back fit, I'm really struggling to see how he can keep his job. The recent results in addition to poor transfer business make for pretty grim reading.

No doubting we've signed some real quality, but we appear to be destined to spending half the season looking like we're only a few injuries away from being in serious trouble.

Quotes come so thick and fast with PB so I don't exactly remember what he said but wasn't it about needing to bring in 4/5/6 players before the window closed. Having achieved just one sounds pretty disasterous. I suppose it's a start to have got someone commanding in central defense. Yet midfield remains short of creativity, praying for the early return of Timlin and Wordsworth but they have both proved injury prone. No pace up front Alternatives to Mooney and Cox.............well, there really aren't. Will have to pray Ranger comes good. Not convinced McGlashan is an upgrade (even 'equal grade' on Worrell). Looks like from now to Christmas we'll have to do a lot of praying (lucky Lourdes is not far) Haven't even mentioned the possibility of suspensions and red cards. :'(

CM we have King, Timlin, Leonard, Atkinson, Wordsworth- plus Bridge could play there- so numbers wise we are ok. Wingers I agree. McGlashan, McLaughlin, Demetriou have played there regularly- Bridge can play there too. Watt may well be signed as cover for McLaughlin (won't excite many but as cover not a disaster).

We will probably fail to get a striker, have days of near apocalyptic doom, sign Robinson who the scores a hatrick in his fist game- at which point everyone will say that who they wanted all along..

If what Orient wanted was half sensible he would have been long gone- still think they want rid and he will go somewhere- will go to the brink (whether we are still in who knows- no one will until we pick up the phone and up the bid or Orient pick up the phone and say ok we will accept this- I would guess 10.15 will be panic button time.

I can't believe we've failed so spectacularly to replace what we lost over the summer in terms of strength in depth. I genuinely think Brown's reputation within footballing circles (player and agent whispers) has dropped after last season, making an already unfashionable club for a player even less attractive.
