Ticket News Gateshead (a) - Mon 5th May 2025

Any more news on whether it might be shown on a big screen at Roots Hall? That would be an option for me and would be willing to pay entry etc. .. doesn’t beat being there though so I’ll probably end up forking out for the train (easy journey from Kings X). Bloody long day mind you.

4 tickets brought for this awesome winner takes all play- off spot, staying at my mates in Stockton on Sunday for a jolly northern **** up, work on Tuesday and won't get back till late but who cares, just have to be there.

I'm driving up from Norfolk, where I live, on the Sunday and staying with a friend in Hartlepool overnight before the last leg to Gateshead on the morning of the match. Return back to Hartlepool again afterwards for another overnighter via the local pub to celebrate and then back home on the Tuesday. Ticket purchased online via their website. Simples.
Exactly the same here, but substitute Hartlepool for Darlington; leaving Norfolk on the Sunday and back on Tuesday as Daughter lives near Darlo. Will be our third time up there. Hope it does not rain this time. And really looking forward to visiting the wonderful “Second Best Pub in Gateshead” The Schooner again. Though having just googled it I see that it has now become The Fog On The Tyne.

I still don't get why the club would lay on free/subsidised travel for this fixture. If we win, we then most likely have 2 away games to follow, what then? They will be midweek night games. Public transport is a nightmare/impossible for that. Surely laying on transport then would make more sense.
But the key is 'IF' we win?
If we lose there won't be a need for any more trains, and boats and planes!

Instead of free coach travel I'd like them to put the games on at Roots Hall. Either on the big screen or in the Far Post bar etc

Alternatively encourage supporters to head to The Blue Boar, The Spread or the Railway where they would have the games on. Perhaps laying on some pizzas etc

Could they erect a fan zone in the car park in time for the game? Potentially show it there?

Allocation isn't sold out. Looks to be just the adult element. Bit weird. You'd think it would be seats they sell and then the category is unchanged.

Seems like it's 400 adults, 250 concessions, 200 using adults etc (NB figures I've just made up)
Yeah very strange

Just watched the lad who does the Gateshead vlog. TBf he is really good and always very balanced in his views of both teams however he was practically suicidal after the Hartlepool defeat and just couldn’t bring himself to do a vlog. Did one yesterday and not much better. If we do our jobs right then we should get the result we need. The lad didn’t have one good word to say about them and said half dont deserve the shirt and don’t give a ****. It’s in our hands for sure
