Ticket News Gateshead (a) - Mon 5th May 2025

Tickets bought on the day of release, but hotel booked months ago as we had a clash of commitments. We will drive, as its the easiest way for us. It became clear as soon as the fixtures came out we would struggle to go to yesterday's game. So the trade off was booking a weekend away in Gateshead and combining the trip with a couple of days off.

When we booked the hotel it was in the period that we still weren't 100% certain that the club would survive! So to be heading there in control of our play off destiny is nothing short of incredible!

Unless I’m reading it wrong pay on the gate works. Much as I’d love it I can’t see us selling out the away stand.

In the good old days under Jobbo or the Rat the club would annouce a charter flight at about £450 each, including complimentary peanuts however. When nobody books they'd reduce it at the last minute to £125.

Obviously not from Southend & probably going to Teesside, just to relive the horror of that Scarborough trip. What fun we had!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫

I have tried to forget that Pete. Thanks for bringing it up 😱

I'm living in New Biggin these days which is about 20 mile north of Newcastle. Is there pay on the day at Gateshead.
Be very careful, some clubs refuse to sell tickets on the day from what ive read online.
The stand holds 4k just book a ticket online whats the problem, bloody glad we dont pay on the gate like the old days

It seems quite a few problems are arising from fans debating how they’re actually going to get there..

If I was the club I’d be getting straight to grips of this sorting out additional coaches or travel guides to make sure we sell out as much as we possibly can. Also regular updates on how many we’re going to be taking always encourages others too.

We don’t want to miss an opportunity for a complete takeover of Gateshead if it means we get playoffs!

I'm driving up from Norfolk, where I live, on the Sunday and staying with a friend in Hartlepool overnight before the last leg to Gateshead on the morning of the match. Return back to Hartlepool again afterwards for another overnighter via the local pub to celebrate and then back home on the Tuesday. Ticket purchased online via their website. Simples.

For many people, coaches will get back too late at night, we have to be up for work in morning, coach turns it into a 7hr drive. Two hundred quid for these trains is a joke, its a 4and a half our drive ffs !
