Patience is a virtue.............

But it needs to be both - even if we're successful on the pitch, we won't reap the rewards if the stadium is crap and the fan experience is awful.
If the club doesn't move towards solvency then it will be back to bust and some. The arguement is, largely, a what came first? chicken or egg?
At the moment TL seems to be doing a blooming good job at trying to keep everything going in the positive direction.
Slowly, with small improvements that can be seen; and others less tangable like supplier and sponsor confidence he is making progress.

This is exactly how things are working currently. There's very very strictly operated budget spreadsheets that Tom applies, and if any requests for expenditure are made, be it players or otherwise, if it doesn't fit within the spreadsheet it's not happening.

Here's my 2p's worth.....
No one says I'm not going to the football because the toilets are a bit smelly, or my sausage was cold.....
They don't go because the football is crap, or dull as dishwater.
I couldn't care less if the painting isn't up to scratch, just play great football and they will come!
Sadly I’ve gone regardless of the quality of the football since 1984. Being in the national league won’t change that.

Teams in the middle of a rebuild, ive seen the progress at the last 3 games, bloody fantastic. Got all the patience in the world me, we are going up the table and its a joy to watch, plus with the absolute incredible support at games we'll get there together.
Watching games on tv is actually depressing, being in the stands is a very inspiring feeling especially away from home, taking over 500 fans on a Wed night to non league Aldershot is crazy numbers when you are below mid table, i have massive admiration for these mighty Shrimper faithful who back Kev and his players.

Patience is a virtue, but belief is a bigger factor here.
I believe in Kev Maher.
I believe Bim Pepple HAS to be a goalscoring success during his loan or his career might stall.
I believe Oli Coker has gone out and proved himself since injury.
i believe Crowther has turned a corner, what a bloody star he was at Aldershot.
I believed in Collin and so did those that went to Eastleigh and sung his name.
I believe in Josh Walker, it takes a certain character to totally spoon a chance that fell to him on Saturday, only to bloody smash it home with the other foot.

We'll get there, in fact we are on the way
@Shrimp and two veg I think you may well have rewritten the Nicene Creed!!! 😇 😇 😇

I would think we’d be more “sustainable” finishing 3rd in the National League each season than finishing 15th in L2.

I think it’s quite clear COSU are happy to pay good wages to the right players. Cardwell wouldn’t have been cheap, and without any inside knowledge suspect Bonne doesn’t come cheap whatever his output has been.

Their issue has been by the time they were able to make signings most of those we were chasing (all well documented on here) had run out of patience and gone elsewhere, hence why we’re playing catch up.

Now is not the time to be making signings unless they are players we actively desire becoming available (Ala Jeacock).

I don’t think it’s a fair assessment, nor indeed a correct one to say they’re placing more emphasis on the off pitch activities with little regard for what’s happening on the pitch.

You dear sir, are regarded as a diehard, I don't mean you wear a white vest, and love climbing through ventilation shafts, but you as me, will go regardless of results. Recently numbers have been up, probably because we had a hate figure to band against.
I wonder how long the crowd numbers will continue to stay high, when things stagnant on the pitch.... we all need something to cling on to, I don't keep my fingers crossed every week that the burgers will improve...

The revenues for being in the football league dwarf those of the national league

Football is entertainment, you dont have a team thats entertaining to watch people will stop going its that simple, there will always be the diehards that no matter if the football is dross will always turn up and i applaud them. But people work hard for their money and want to be entertained. Go back to the days when we was for a few hours top of the championship and what an entertaining team we had until it was destroy by the slag from Birmingham, Now im not saying thats what we want a team thats top off the Championship ,that will take time ,what we all would like is a team thats entertaining win or lose, something like Spurs are at the present would be nice ,a team with an attacking intent ,keeping all the fans on the edge of the seat, Have something like that and RH will be filled each home match .

If you'd rather lost 3-4 every week and get relegated than win 1-0 for the rest of the season and get back to the football league then I have a bridge to sell you.

In my 50+ years of supporting the Blues I’ve never wanted them to entertain me by losing.

No man wants a cold sausage. Maybe, with winter fast approaching, invest in some thermals?

But you stated it as a fact. Therefore you'll not need to be proven wrong???
It's a good idea to make sure you actually understand what a poster says before responding. What I stated as a fact was that this is our fourth year in the NL. I went on to express the opinion that it was unlikely we would gain promotion this season. I hope that has clarified it for you.

No... but I was imaging in my head what could happen on Saturday against Charlton. They go 2-0 up, we fight back to 2-2, then they take the lead again the last few minutes. It would be incredibly frustrating, but I would have said it would have been a great score and probably very entertaining to watch!

yet i bet you was entertained when we were doing so well in our promotion years even when we lost a game,i bet you still got entertained , and its ridiculous comment from the person that said would we be entertained if we lost every game 4-3, chances of that happening are astronomical.
