Absolutely dire, defenders can have 5s for keeping a clean sheet, everyone else gets a 3. I know people moan about crab football but I'd rather we do that for 90 minutes than whatever the hell that was.

That side out there today is not a side to win automatic promotion maybe not even a play off side.

How much ambition the management and consortium have to get automatically out of this division will be shown over the summer.

7200 there again today to see a woeful game that was devoid of any quality, entertainment and ambition.

We were at home at showed little to no effort to get forward and win a game.

Kev has a huge amount of credit in bank but his persistence to persevere with certain players and formation is starting to grate on me.

There are several players who just aren't good enough for a top 3 side. Not there fault. They just aren't up to the challenge.

We are 4 or 5 top quality signings from being in with a shout of the automatic spots next season.

Our midfield is pitiful and has no goals or drive. Our right channel is non existent and for all of Colin's shot stopping ability, his distribution and decision making is becoming a problem.

If the consortium are genuine about building the clubs fans base and re gaining league status then it's time to make some decisions because that today will see crowds drop rapidly.

A dreadful match which felt like it never got going. It was stop start right from the off and devoid of any real quality.

I don't know if Crowther was carrying an injury, but he looked sluggish throughout and dwelt on the ball before having his pocket picked on a number of occasions. I hope this match was just a one off.

I felt Cards got bullied all afternoon which meant for the majority of the second half Working managed to keep the ball in our half and looked more likely to grab the opening goal.

Once again we were crying out for someone in midfield to break the lines and commit defenders. The supply line to the front two was poor throughout.
When I saw Jack Wood stripping off to come on I was hoping he'd take off Wes to allow us an extra body in attacking areas. With Waldron going off instead, Woking had it easy for the last 30 mins and began to grow in confidence.

Another point to the tally, another game unbeaten, but in truth we looked to be running on empty which is understandable after everything the players have gone through this season.

Really disappointing, woking seemed organised and weren't going to be a walkover but we made them look good today. Crowther that was his worst performance since signing. Wes was missing the whole first half once he got involved early second half we actually threatened. Team selection for me was wrong from the start, Gus is like a Duracell battery I'm sure even tho he played for England he should have still started with Demetriou coming on when he needed to. Personally prefer Morton over Wes better on the ball opens up play. Wood to me isn't a striking option he's a midfielder so when you take Waldron off we then go to 1 upfront, disappointing at home. We keep pumping the ball forward which is frustrating especially as we was playing teams off the park with a passing style earlier in the season. Fresh faces needed for Tuesday away at Solihull

Poor game, and agree with @Cricko it was the worst performance of the season for me.

There’s been plenty of games this season where we’ve come away disappointed, but at least we’ve created chances in those. Can’t say that about today’s offering. It was just ****.

I expected more from Woking tbh. They came into it as one of the best form teams in the division, but didn’t really test us. We looked like a team who were dreaming of summer holidays. It felt like an end of season, nothing to play for, type of game.

Nobody had a good game today. Nobody.

Vanarama National League Round Up

So what happened in the National League today?

Chesterfield made certain of automatic promotion.

Boreham Wood slipped into the relegation zone.

York City gained a vital three points at Bromley.

Barnet scored six to thrash Dorking.

AFC Fylde continued their impressive progress up the table with victory over Oxford City. Oxford City are relegated..

Phil Brown's Kidderminster, dead and buried a few months ago, inch further towards survival with a draw at Wealdstone.

At Roots Hall Southend United played Woking. 7,251 attended. Nothing of any consequence happened. Nothing at all.

Roll on the close season for me.

Its been an exhausting emotional one.

Its quite clear we need three or four good signings to take us from an upper mid table team to a promotion winning team.

Next season will be A more even playing field for kev et al. With a totally new pressure, He can and will be judged pretty quickly on results tho, and he knows that. One things for sure attendances are gonna drop if its this dull, win or lose..

Agree with all of that, bar the attendance comment. We’ve shown for over a decade that we have a very loyal fanbase who will always turn up for games.

Anyone getting giddy over ten unbeaten with this dour, non penetrative crap, need to give their heads a wobble - this is poor, we might as well of lost 3 of them and won more and would of ended up with more points. We have a squad capable of doing great things- look how we performed before the reinforcements come in - we were great.

We play horrendous defensive , one dimensional tactics. We are largely safe now and clearly gave up on even trying for the playoffs about 10 games ago. How about experiment with using different players and tactics so we can maybe have a plan B next year

Not baiting, but what are these one dimensional tactics? And did we play them today?

Team is tired and nothing to play for now especially as most have got new contracts. January signings have not really improved on what we had already. Defensively I have no issues but we need to find a 20 goal a season striker to get out this league and some more pace and guile in the final third.
