Breaking News Statement from Kimura Group

"To clarify the current position of Kimura Group, we have reviewed all the available information, and the dialogue that we have had privately with Ron Martin and team, as well as what is now in the public domain.

"We still believe that this is a very attractive asset, and we would like to clarify that we are interested in joining with other interested parties if they deem it appropriate to move forward, but we do not believe that we are the right people to lead this at this time."

Thought this might need a thread of its own for a while (will merge with the SUFC for sale mega-thread later!)

Sorry to say I could see that coming, the current offer has no chance at a profit until the stadium has been refurbished and their investors wouldn't be interested in that.

So, hopefully this is a precursor that explains the position of the "Kimura" group and would appear to be obvious based on the last few weeks of stalemate.

But, later today is the statement that informs us of a consortium that has been put together that may (or may not) include some aforementioned Kimura personal and we are interested in a deal with these other (SS) residents to move the club forward on this new path?

Or am I hallucinating and this is just bad news? 🤔

Nail on head (or at least I hope it is). This smacks of a statement that paves the way for a much more positive one.

As I said on the other thread.

This is likely a holding statement, setting the scene.

Await further news later with more meat on the bones.

There's a collaboration coming that we need to get behind. It's our only option.

I'll have a listen to Talksport, as advised on Spaces last night...
