Wrestlemania XX

Quote[/b] (Beefy @ Mar. 18 2004,16:12)]Funniest thing was Ultimo Dragon too. Apparently he signed for the WWE for one reason - to get the chance to wrestle at his first Wrestlemania. So the day happens and what does he do? He falls over twice during his entrance...!
cool, I thought it was only me that had noticed him stack it twice on his way down the ramp!

so that is why he signed for them!?!?! Well he should bugger off now he got his WM appearance. He is massively wasted in his current position. As usual WWE are keeping all the talented workers at the bottom. At least there is some hope now Benoit and Eddie are the champions but what a waste having RVD and Booker as tag champs, these are the guys that should be challenging Benoit in the upcoming months!

Ha! ha! Kenny's right into wrestling - 'keeping the workers down'

Only kidding... when I was well into wrestling quite a few years back when t'internet was just kicking off, there was a radio show broadcast live over the net from the 'States just about wrestling. Thats when I knew the internet was bloody special!

Also the webpage I visited almost as religously as SZ was www.tpww.net - dunno if its still about... one way to find out I guess

Edit: Just checked and it is still going and as good as ever - bad design now though thats made be feel dizzy and sick!! Only view for 2 mins at a time!

I seem to recall Eddie broke his elbow in his first match after joining the WWE.

I downloaded the "Monday Night Wars" documentary that they plugged during WMXX - very interesting stuff. I'd forgotten about some of the dirty tricks Bischoff used to pull (like reading out the pre-taped RAW results on Live Nitro to make viewers stay tuned to WCW)

I stll wince every time Eddie does the frog splash... I'm sure in the back of his mind for that split second on landing he thinks the elbow will go again.

I bet that was so painful its untrue!

tpww, eh? I was always a rajahwwf.com man myself. Still visit their on a daily basis. Got both sites in my 'favourites' though...

I posted on their sports board about the LDV final and got no response apart from a Chelsea fan laughing at me. Got more than 100 replies over at Rajah though....

As for Ultimo Dragon, I think WMXX was the first time I'd seen him. Haven't got Sky at uni so haven't seen Smackdown for a year now. I get Raw taped occasionally and manage to get hold of every PPV, but never Smackdown for some reason.

Everyone heard the big news this week? Looks possible that Kurt Angle has wrestled his last match. He reported numbness in his hands and considering his recent history of neck and back trouble I can't see him back anytime soon. To be honest, even though Kurt is my favourite wrestler of all time, I'd rather he quit now than be left like the Dynamite Kid and not be able to walk by the age of 40.

And Farrooq was released yesterday. Shame as I've alays liked the APA but he was on his last legs. Don't know what they'll do with Bradshaw now though.

Damn.

real shame about Angle, what with Brock and goldberg on their way out and HHH facing another layoff it looks bad at the top end of the card.  Time for them to re-elevate RVD, Jericho and Booker T

. Reckon Orton is gonna get a big push as well.

Looking at some of the alternatives on Wrestling Channel theres plenty of young talent out there which I'm sure Vince will be waving money at in the near future.

Angle, Lesnar, Rock, HHH??, Goldberg??, Austin all unable to wrestle. No wonder Eddie is champion. Mind you, Edge is back soon, so i'd imagine he'll get a good push and he deserves it IMO. Anyway, with the deadman back, i'm sure we'll see him back up there, along with Kane. I love Rhyno as well, but he didnt even figure at WMXX which is a big dissapointment in my books. Gotta love his finisher. Im sure the 'Legend Killer' **yeah right** will be up there soon and i'd imagine that RVD and Booker T will have some bust up, lose their titles and go onto better things.

I had a dream the other day where Road Dogg came back. But he looked like a tramp.

That wasn't a good thing was it?
