to much long ball and not many tall players meaning we are useless from set plays:sad:

We didnt play long ball against Accrington until the 72nd minute when Cresswell came on, cant comment about Oxford as I wasnt there.

As for set plays we certainly miss Mohsni, but vs Accrington we had 3 centre halves on to start with and 4 by the end. Certainly could do with more physical presence up front at times though.

Do these TOOLS you mention include Sturrock, Prosser, Straker, Barker, Leonard, and then there are the best two tools that look like leaving, Hall and Moshni. Not forgetting the ones made of glass, Eastwood, Phillips, Cresswell and Corr !! :omg:

Sturrock- definitely yes, most experienced manager at this level and has had yearly progression
Prosser- proven to be a good squad player, would struggle to play 46 games consistently tho
Straker- let's give him a chance before jumping on his back after 2 games
Barker- gone off the boil playing wise but experience around the training ground will be invaluable

Moshni- wasn't included in that statement for obvious reasons

Hall- until he goes then yes
Philips- played 48 games last season and all 3 this, so hardly a glass player
Cresswell- no idea why missing one game immediately puts him in the "injury prone" list
Eastwood- a half fit Fred is better than most at this level
Corr- he's on a pay as you play contract, scored over 20 goals in his first season, no brainer to keep him around for now

Can't be bothered to wade through six pages but it seems the lack of adequate preparation is to blame. A goalkeeper signed on the morning of the first game, and allowing three centre midfielders to leave without bringing anyone in until the Friday before the first league match. The transfer embargo was a major part of this, cheers Ron.

Oh and we've not been very good. But it has to be said we've not had much luck and a few injuries. Not time to panic, yet.

Plus play-off hangover? We wouldn't be the first...
