Yeah 5,000 flags given out.............. but it would have been nice for some fans not to have taken 2 or 3 flags only waved 1 & kept the others in the wrappers under their seats!!!!

Lets hope they are saving them for the away match next week.

i was in the west stand block S and tbv sounded pretty good to me, most the noise started there and carried through to my side of the stand.

good work by all

Where has it ever been said or mentioned that the BV are solely responsible for the singing within the ground and why do some people take the view that it is only the BV@s role to get the singing going?

As supporters of the club it is ALL of our responsibility to add to the atmosphere within the ground and it is NOT a competition between the stands as to who can sing loudest.

I think the guys organising this do a sterling job, of which they often give up their free time for, so lets have less critism and more support.

Great atmosphere last night and we did not stop singing all night which probably explains why we could not hear the South or East stands. as for donny, apart from a 5 minute spell i never heard them either. Just goes to show how poor the acoustics are all round. i have recorded the game so that will be a telling factor on who made the most noise on the playback......

Well done all involved last night.......

on a serious note best atmosphere since norwich at home in the ccc

Yep, agreed on this. At one point it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I don't bow to sentimentality easily. I can only imagine what it would have been like had we scored.

I love the away fan mentality of "we couldn't even hear the home fans". I remember when some of ours tried to claim that at the Leeds League Cup game last season .

Always makes me laugh when I see quotes like the ones on 'Vikings'. I thought that for the relatively poor numbers they brought down, they made a bit of decent noise in spells but as for outsinging us, do me a favour, that was one of the most consistently loud 90 minutes of home support I have heard from any home fans let alone at Roots Hall. We were absolutely fantastic. Was in the BV section last night and am in disbelief that people in the East could even contemplate slagging the noise levels...I felt deaf after the first half!!

Perhaps the Donny supporters are basing their views on the fact that they did actually make more noise than us at only one point, that was as we were all exiting and they were giving it a bit of the old MK shimmy around the stand with their shirts off!

Apart from that, never heard really them at all, our support, on the other hand, was bloomin' brilliant!

And this is exactly why I don't think there is any point having the North Bank back. What is the point when all the noise you make bounces back in on you, and doesn't really sound that loud to the rest of the ground? We would have a crap view apalling legroom and the away fans would STILL claim to have outsung us!!!

Time and time again people will wonder why they cant hear a certain area of the crowd. It's the Roots Hall acoustics, TBV section was the loudest from what I saw, and I was sitting South Upper.

I thought EVERYONE was making a lot of noise tonight, TBV took the lead on the majority of things, but South Upper also took their turn, the East were vocal tonight and EVERYBODY deserves credit for getting in the swing of things and getting their vocal support behind the team - that's the way I heard things anyway.

was just about to post basically the same..

we all had blue voice flags (excellent job handing them out everyone!)
we all were singing!
and it made a great atmosphere!
obviously, there were times (not many) when one stand was singing and the others wern't, but it was a cracking atmosphere throughout and we kept going as we realised we were against a very good team!
even the easts came alive, and like btb said - definetly put a tingle down the spine when all those flags were going!

top work!
THANKS ALL FOR A GREAT NIGHT!

Totally agree with that Fred and was thinking that myself . Could see from the front of the SSU the two blocks of the West singing , chanting and clapping with their hands above their heads but apart from the occasional boom boom from big blue could hear next to nothing . On the other hand we could hear the Donny fans loud and clear .

The only way to solve this is for the Blue Voice to be in the North Bank next season - whichever league we are in . Surely there must be some way of accomodating the ( often paltry numbers of ) away fans in the corner and if necessary the end of the West ( Fence ??? ) .

Smiffy what's the latest on this ?

Farmer Fossett?! Who the fu*k are you? Was you even there?

Best atmosphere Ive heard in ages, 5000 flags and a brilliant performance from the lads. Great night and the blue voice was monument in making it so.

The people who have formed TBV have given up their own time for such a cause and are doing more to help the club than you are while sitting behind your keyboard. Get off their backs and start supporting them. When we move to Fossets and have a "kop-esque" area behind the goal named "TBV stand" everyone will want to be a part of it and all the people who criticised it in its initial stages wont be seen for dust.

Well done to TBV last night and all who supported it.

I really don't want this to sound patrinising because its not intented that way. I think that what your doing is fantastic, football should be about the fans and people enjoying themselves. It can be hard sometimes to get up for games but having something like this is a brillant idea and i take my hat off to those that have deducted their own time to it. Surely its something the whole club should be very proud of
