The thing is have you ever done a deal with Ron? It's a special and unique experience apparently....there is little about any of this accords to the many deals I have been used to doing over the years either, and that's been right from the very beginning...I've given up on saying how long anything should take based on my previous experience.

What we do know is that irrespective of how long anything should take, Ron always completes at the last moment. Always. On everything. Without fail. So its not worth talking to what is normal, and if the ITKs are confident it will be Monday (on the deadline) it is, at the same time, positive and no surprise whatsoever.

No problem.

Whilst it’s pretty complex for a deal of this size there will probably be a few on here who have been unfortunate enough to get caught up in the acquisition or disposal of a multinational companies operating across dozens of jurisdictions.

I haven’t had the misfortune to be on a deal with Ron and it’s something I remain thankful for.

We can only estimate how long things should take - any additional time we can assign to Ron being Ron - but we should be aware of when things are taking longer than they should given that one deal (Kimura) has already fallen through and were already onto v2 of the deal with the Consortium.

Hopefully Monday brings the news we’re all waiting for (I suppose there is a chance they exchange over the weekend - my first HK deal exchanged on a Sunday as the date was luckier! I suspect our HK contingent won’t be as superstitious…)
