Liam wouldn’t have been expected to know the ins and outs. In the DD phase it came up that it hadn’t been accounted for refurbishments to the properties over the 50 year term. It wiped massive value off of the scheme for the council and made it even more unworkable.

It would have been an awful deal for the town, but as fans we can only judge it on face value and on face value Ron got what he wanted, we got what we wanted and the council got what they wanted.

You`d like to think so, both SCC and COSU have set so called final deadlines, if you set them you need to stick to them. Other wise credibility is shot to bits, and the likes of the family can get away without worrying. If the so called final offer offered by SCC seemed to be reachable by both parties by COB today, take it or leave it. If they don`t they have to walk away, no more negotiations with the family.

It would appear that Ron and Jack have been sending positive messages to all parties all week and have now decided to have one last attempt at a better deal for them. I shouldn’t be shocked. I shouldn’t be angry. But I am apoplectic.
