Question What is making you happy today?

We've finally come to the end of just under 4 weeks of work done on the house. Finally all the dust and noise is over, and I don't have to continuously close the front door that nearly all the various trades seem to like leaving open.

We're due to have the remaining double glazing replaced today/tomorrow so I rang the firm and explained we have Covid. The girl in the office said 'oh, I've had it five times' and then told me the fitters would still be coming:Stunned:. Sure enough, they have arrived this morning so we are masked up all day. I think I'm happy.

Interestingly, we had two windows that weren't working properly. One wouldn't close snuggly against the frame so there was a draft and the other wouldn't stay closed. We've had a couple of double glazing people look at them without success which started me thinking they needed replacing.

However, my wife found a very small company locally who came and fixed both for £120 each. I reckon they've saved us a couple of grand at least.
