Question What is making you happy today?

Not my usual sort of thing but enjoyed the Agnes Varda exhibition at CCC B yesterday.I never saw her new Wave films (but have seen most of her stuff since the late 70`s).

3 packs of Waitrose Duchy organic raw king prawns, reduced from £15.75 ( for the 3 ) to £5.07p!.
Right place at right time ( 1/2 hr before they closed ).
It's very strange at Waitrose Southend near Garons. So every Sunday they sell the cooked whole chickens off cheap usually between 4.15 and 4.35pm. They close at 5pm Sunday unlike most other supermarkets that shut at 4pm. The shoppers are shopping but keeping an eye to see a little red ticket go up. All of a sudden there will be no one to a queue of about 20 in no time. They do Garlic, Barbeque and normal roast chickens. The strange thing is the price seems to be different each time. All chickens same price on the day, but I have bought them recently for £3.40, £2.50, £3.80 and £2.70 and £2.90 reduced from£7ish. I,m wondering out of curiosity, does the lady on the counter just think of a number on the day?

When I was there on Thursday evening, they were selling their own range for £1.70, reduced from £5.50.

Bumped into Santa picking up his takeaway at Green Tea in Benfleet!
This fella is good and takes his work seriously! Grows a beard that he shaves off on 24th and is a professional Santa!
Don't know the guy but does a lot of good work and total respect made me laugh.

My daughter has wanted a camouflage jacket like Jeremy from Peep Show for ages.

Today I found a NATO camouflage jacket size small in a charity shop which fits her perfectly. Incredible quality, Gore Tex, almost brand new and all for a tenner.

I am gutted it wasn’t an XL

Little old lady came up to me in Morrison's, Corringham and asked if Captain Morgan's was a decent whisky 😁 I directed her to the bottles of Bells.
Thought Morgan's was a rum -not too sure about your first choce of whisky though .(Perhaps that's the best they can do in Corringham). :Winking:
