Question What is making you happy today?

All the double glazing on the front of the house being replaced today and tomorrow. Goodbye the old Everest windows, which were 45 years old, so they didn't do badly. Bank account now having therapy.
If you went with First Class are the best, call them up and you will see;. When you pay for your front you get your back done free

Well they did back in the late 90s early 2000s. Not even sure if they are still going.

Heating bill should fall to, hopefully.🤞
(Don’t forget to keep the tea and biscuits coming for the chaps/chapesses.
The goddess is in charge of refreshments. I'm at Ramsay Springfield Hospital now waiting to have a cataract removed from my left eye. Bit of a busy day!

Good luck RHB. May i suggest that when you return home, you tell Mrs. RHB your feeling rough & let her do all the necessary tasks etc for the rest of the day!.

I have tried a new (for me) garage to get my car serviced and they have been very good. No silly added extras on the bill (wd40,windsceen wash liquid etc). Wrights Motors Aviation Way, I recommend them to you BUT I also know they are very very busy so need booking a month in advance.

I used to use them back in the late 80's!. Back then the sons name was Vince ( i think? ), he'd be in his 60's now.

Having our 7 year old grandson stay with us for the weekend.Lou fancies himself as a bit of an artist and he's already done a picture of a banana and a football ( both up on the kitchen wall).Currently he's sweeping the front garden ,back to follow. :Winking:
Hope the lads a Shrimper T.🦐👍

Closed partners deceased mum's Ovo energy gas & electric a/c's in April after her home was finally sold, around 2 years since she last lived there. In April 22 she was around £800 in credit, which was used until this April for the monthly standing charges & the handful of times we had the heating on when the temp was below zero.
When i closed it, they said we owed £11.81p which we paid, & that was that. Partner got a letter from them yesterday, saying we were £679.75p in credit ( ! ), thanked us for our custom & that amount would be paid into partners Bank a/c within 10 days!.
Haven't a clue 7 months after closing a/c what on earth's going on (?), & def won't call them about it, so a totally unexpected Christmas bonus!.

Were they still taking the DD for the last 7 months?

They are likely to clock their balls up sooner or later. I'd hang on to that little windfall for a few months, just in case.
