Grown from sampling or purchase like that. We have a couple of sampling ones that Alton Garden Centre give out when the children visit there Santas Grotto and its grown quite well in 3 years but still a bit on the small side. This year's model is fully grown and now ready, willing and able to be loaded up for Christmas. It will be it's last outing before being pensioned off to the Xmas Tree re-homing centre (a neighbour, for outdoor planting). Just as well really as it weighs a ton to lift in.

Grown in its pot since birth. I think this one was from Cherry Lane nursery about 3 years ago. We have one in our back garden which started like that but is now pushing about 35/49 ft tall now, a big bugger. Fabulous watching then grow in the summer.Grown from sampling or purchase like that. I'm not quite sure how long It would be before the Christmas tree could be "harvested"
Beautiful creature.Sid the Sparrow Hawk paid a surprise return visit to our garden again this afternoon. I was going to capture his mugshot like this summer (below), but he was too busy eating his dinner for me to disturb him. Not sure the sparrow was too happy with his return, but that's nature.

Got me thinking we could have a Garden thread RHB it seems to be a few of us on the Zone that likes the pottering about in the yard. This year's model is fully grown and now ready, willing and able to be loaded up for Christmas. It would be wrong of me to steal Mrs RHB's glory, she is the gardener and I'm the cook, works for us. Nevertheless, a good idea for a thread.@cricko's window boxes could feature?Got me thinking we could have a Garden thread RHB it seems to be a few of us on the Zone that likes the pottering about in the yard.
Thanks but save your time, I’m sure there are more worthy candidates than me.I've just started the process to recommend a personal friend for an OBE.
Services to real ale? Thanks but save your time, I’m sure there are more worthy candidates than me.
A balls aching process that I had the misfortune to have to regularly undertake in the latter years of my job. A lot of the time it was more about how you chose and then couched the wording than whether the individual truly deserved a gong. Understanding the rationale of the Honours Committee was a black art.I've just started the process to recommend a personal friend for an OBE.
Here is next year's model being given potty training on the lead ready for next year's big adventure in the RHB household.Grown from sampling or purchase like that. Playing for the vets tonight - have been asked to play centre-mid. Who shall I base my game on? Peter Butler or Kevin Maher? I don't have the height to be a Dave Martin or Andy Sussex alas.
