Our daughter is down from Birmingham for the weekend as her partner is on the razz with his best mate. I took the opportunity to ask her what her recent Doctorate thesis was about and she showed me the title.

'Managing Your Flexibility in a Paradoxical System'. A constructivist Grounded Theory Study of Mental Health Clinician's Experience within Youth Justice Services.'

I think I'm happy she got her Doctorate , but truthfully I don't think I'll be in a hurry to read her thesis any time soon!

Just come back from my favourite local where my chums and I re-convened 'The Spinning Disc Preservation Society'. It involved playing a combination of records and CDs (no MP3s) with a bit of talk between the tracks. The good burghers of the Farmers Arms (in Penzance) had been used to hearing it on the local radio station but after we got binned off there for the crime of a spurious noise complaint, we were able to work out a way of doing the show live from the pub and we'll put it out as a podcast once the landlord/sound engineer has done some tech wizardry with the recording.

Super seafood savings at Morrison's today. Brought a whole salmon reduced from £22 to £8.80, salmon fillets reduced from £4.30 to £1.70 & £10's worth of scallops for £4.
Filleted the salmon into 10 decent sized portions, now in the freezer with the salmon fillets.
Will have the scallops tomorrow, & my supplies now replenished for a couple of weeks!.

Dined at the Pearl Dragon this evening and apart from the normal super quality food I was amused to turn round and find myself staring at this little guy.
