jusr walked past he Grand. A section of shuttering down. Big digger in the front. A huge hole where the Japanese knotweed was. Digger loading soil and dead plant onto enormous truck. I used to work in Dagenham. Post WW1 new town, homes for heroes, "cottages in the country" the people (all East Enders) called it. Banjos and the whole urban new town dream. Barna you are a right snob and no mistake.
