Question What is making you happy today?

We've now had two pieces of mail delivered, one yesterday and one today, both dated late January. Maybe Royal Mail is attempting to shift the log jam at long last.

RM is a joke at the moment, I haven't had post for weeks. It's not good if you're expecting bills and they need paying.

Spent the morning in the loft insulating the gaps between the roof rafters. Loads of polystyrene panel offcuts and battening, so off down to Stock Road tip we go. Stopped off at Wenzels and got a fresh loaf which she put in the back of the car with bags of rubbish. Get to tip I launch the bags in oblivious to the fact that the bread was in a bag and caught up in the toot. Outcome, loaf in Household waste container. Luckily for me the bag hadn't fallen much and an umbrella sticking out recovered the bread. She was not amused.

Maybe not, but I am!

Quite pleased to have a couple of games lined up for the 'business end' of the season.

Living down here in west Cornwall, me and my fellow 'Kernow Blues' have to plan our games carefully. I'm delighted to report that our games v. Stockport (away) and Torquay (at home) are now firmly agreed on the (non -) work calendar. In the meantime, Grumpy Blue and I shall watch the away game at Woking later today in the comfort of Fort Nox.

No kids in the train and I get a seat to enjoy the view between Benfleet and Southend.

Well - between Benfleet and Chalkwell at least.

Herself paid a return visit to Essex Clear Ears to check that her right ear is now clear, it was. As we were both there I got mine checked at the same time and was gobsmacked at the wax debris that the lady suction vacuumed out of both of my ears. So now, wow, will you all please stop shouting, thank you

My eldest started his job as a trainee firefighter at Southend Airport today.
He's just got home and sounds like the best day ever for him.
He's wanted to be a firefighter since he was 5 and I couldn't be more proud that he has achieved his goal
Great stuff for you and him Webby. Lets hope it continues just as well.

Thanks Jackie. They all sound really nice, he really loved his first day. He would do the job for free to be honest, he loves it that much. Been through a tough time as you know so really nice to see things come good for him
