Question What is making you happy today?

Piccolos was absolutely rammed with theatre goers.food was ok and it saved us cooking. Will did a mixture of old and new stuff and the guy delivers the songs so well. Very diverse audience and the show had a strong camp feel to it but still enjoyable.

Yeah, that was my impression on our only visit a year or so now.My mate wasn't too amused that they hadn't reserved a table for us (he'd booked).TBF they sorted it pretty quickly, despite the place being rammed,as you say. They weren't doing shows (on a Sat.night )back then.

Richard Huckle being found stabbed to death in his cell. Pity I don't believe in hell.
Hell is too good for this piece of ****
Hope he suffered a slow death ! Haha! Something to make us all smile for a change
You gotta love a bit of karma...

No sympathy for this individual whatsoever.Vile beast put children through unimaginable ordeals and would have probably offended if released

The state is responsible for dispensing justice, not violent criminals.
Theoretically, you're right.
Morally, you're right.
From a legal justice standpoint, you're right.

But how much do you imagine those violent criminals agree with you (or give a **** about what the state is responsible for?) They're in there because they don't follow society's rules but their own choices.

The punishment is imprisonment, not violence dispensed by another criminal.
Well, actually... rightly or wrongly... turns out it was the latter.

You don't need to be a parent to realise how utterly vile Huckle was - what made him want to do such utterly horrific abuse to small and very small children. What made him do it, who knows? They say abusers have been abused themselves but I have no knowledge of his life and nor do I want any.

It was highly unlikely he'd get any form of suitable "treatment" inside, be it psychological, chemical of physical and he would have been released in 25 years to possibly ruin the life of another child and now he won't get that opportunity.

I don't agree with the death penalty but sometimes the state needs to look at it's sentencing policies. Huckle should have not been eligible for release at any time and should have spent every day of his life behind bars. In cases as heinous as this, life should have meant just that.

Got my training programme for my new job and I’ve got Christmas Day and Boxing Day off :Thumbs up:

Not sure where this belonged, so chose here;

Over the course of the next month, anyone who gets a parking ticket in Las Vegas will have the choice to pay the fine in the form of a food donation.

Said donation goes to a nonprofit organisation, who provide help for low-income households & senior citizens. All food stuffs will be used to cover the festive period(s) over there.

Would be decent if something like that could be introduced here, in our local boroughs.

I don't like it. You're almost incentivising the issue by making it philanthropic.

Philosophically, you can't give offenders a choice of punishment. Otherwise they'd take the easy option, which this is. I would make car parks free at all times and tax the businesses.

But hey, lets see how this works.
