The fact that I will be thousands of miles away while you lot have months of wall to wall Royal Wedding coverage in the media. Seriously in 2017 there are much more urgent issues at stake. I won't deny it will give the nation a feel good factor but please, the same media that built Di into a fairytale princess (which she was not) whilst looking at any angle to sensationalise will now spend the next few years doing it to her son. They wouldn't do it for the direct heir to the throne.

That is good news. Having had a "call back" for one of these routine type scans, I can't emphasise enough the importance of going to have them. Luckily, mine was "something and nothing". Better always, safe than sorry.

She's currently helping her best mate through a mastectomy for the same thing so when her GP referred her for chest pain it was a bit scary. The letter with the good news sat in front of me for 4 hours whist she was out doing lunch with friends. I don't mind admitting I was bricking it for the whole 4 hours.

Purchased a small compedium of Asterix books for MK Jnr for Christmas. Even if she doesn't like it, I'm happy

Loved those books and still have them all in the loft. Lost their spark a little when Goscinny passed away and the last few have been very forgettable but when they were good, the Asterix books were really great.

A lot of credit has to go to the English translators Anthea Bell and Derek Hockridge too as so many of the puns that we get would have been their work.

Asterix The Legionary probably my all-time favourite.

It has been many many years since I read an Asterix. Looking forward to them coming in the post

I remember when Southend Library (Vic avenue one) used to have a massive kids section downstairs and loads of bean bags under the stairs, I used to spend a good 2/3 hours of my Saturday lounging on them just reading through the Asterix books, along with Superfudge, Secret Seven and The Hardy Boys. Cheers for the nostalgia bump  Now I struggle to read even a chapter a night, before my eyes start to go.

Much to the annoyance of my mum, I think I only used to take out Asterix & Tin Tin books out of my local library.
