Question What is making you happy today?

I was going to write this post yesterday (but was too ashamed to admit I watched it....and still am, quite frankly).... Although to be fair, in my defence, I still missed most of it.Anyway Rak-Su won the X-Factor last night.

Not normally anything special you might think, but a member of the band (Mustafa) is Mrs Mattitouk's employee (or should I say now Ex - Employee).... He's absence put the hotel under some not needed extra pressure at the time.

Long story short, out of support for him and the group, I suggested that she should put a couple of quid down on them to win (way back prior to the first episode being shown), and obviously she did.

So I'm now on a promise for an all expenses paid night out in any one of my favourite restaurants on her.

Now..... what food would you suggest compliments a 1976 Dom Perignion? # im gonna rinse this!

LOL.. She's paying remember!!

I was thinking more along the lines of a Big Mac meal (with chicken Mcnuggets) and maybe a a packet of Wotsits or a curly wurly for dessert in the car on the way back home.

I hate tinsel and have asked all my mates to report it as a health hazard at their respective offices. Early feedback is positive.

Marks and Spencer's "posh" profiteroles :slurp: Get them on your Christmas shopping list now and freeze them!

Awesome beef casserole which has been simmering away in the slow cooker all day, with mash and cabbage, bloomin' yum!

One of the perks of knowing the editor! :winking:

Saw you on Saturday in front of the East Stand, before the game against Oldham on ifollow, unfortunately there was no commentary to go with the video stream.:winking:

Our 10 week old grandson was rushed into hospital Weds night with suspected meningitis with a temperature of 40. After a good dose of IV antis, he's been allowed home today, and thankfully, seems as if it was just an infection, which, with him being so little, hit him hard. Was hugely relieved to spend yesterday morning on Neptune ward with him and my step-daughter and for him to be gurgling and smiling at me, seemingly without a care in the world. Still got to wait for the results of the lumbar puncture but, fingers crossed, all is ok.

The annual Jungle bollocks is over and I saw about 5 minutes of it. Still no idea which Z-list sleb won and I really don't care who did.

They mentioned on the BBC who won. Firstly I'd never heard of them and secondly, I can't even remember what he or she was called.
