Mine has no fear. If I let her she'd happily jump in the deep end. If I can't stand up, it ain't happening.
Going by your jokes on here....

Then let her, my daughter is 6 and she is currently at grade 7 level on swimming at Clements Hall.
Most others in her class are 3-4 years older and she absolutely loves it. We go every week plus other fun swims. We started both ours at 6 months old in the water as its such a vital life skill. My son who is 5 is already on stage 4.
Er....no. My wife would kill me if I couldn't grab her JIC.
I can understand that but why not get her involved in local swim classes? They'll assess her to the right level of instruction and supervise her all the time she's in the water.
I'm not a great swimmer but my daughter will now do 20 lengths of a full size pool and think nothing of it and is proficient in every single stoke including butterfly which would probably kill me if I attempted it
She is mate, that was my original post!
Oh yeah, that'll teach me to skim read through stuff.
If she is progressing really well I'm sure they'll be encouraging her to jump in as much as possible.

My eldest, who is nine, has just quit stage 8 because he can't do a tumble turn. Even when he was much younger he couldn't do forward roles. I don't know what it is that he can't get the hang of, but he has now given up. His instructor said it was a shame because she has never seen a nine year old with such good butterfly technique.
My youngest is also much younger than all the others in his class. He's also small for his age and is literally half the size of some of the other kids, which makes him look even younger.
Please - sounds yummy! :thumbsup:Cake update. Damn good.

Baked my first cake today. Berry & Cherry. Smells good, will report back on taste.
And my speciality diced beef and rice dish is well on the way, to be complimented with 3 bottles of excellent Belguim beers later.
Due to having a few bananas that were going a bit mushy, I've made my first banana cake.
