Question What is making you happy today?

Oh dear, did you take your air rifle and shoot a few ducks too? Or pooh in the bushes by the child play area? or leave general rubbish and discarded food waste? Let you lurcher pack attack at will? If not then you missed out on the full "Irish traveler weekend of fun" experience.

I'd consider that racist if it wasn't the truth. But remember Massimo, they are no different from you and me.

Birmingham airport. Through immigration in under 10 minutes, straight on a train home. Don't get that at Luton/Stansted/Gatwick etc..... (though never travelled from Southend).

Unloaded my 8 place dinner setting of Wedgewood at boot sale today, loved that set but it was largely wedding presents from first time around. Tea set went separately, the rest all together - over 100 pieces, tureens, platters, coffee set...the lot. Makes me sad thinking how much it cost to buy all those years back but times are different now and I would rather someone got use out of it. Besides which, I still have my grandparent's art deco set, and I just haven't got room for both, so £50 better off - thank you very much.

Did you get it valued beforehand?. 2 weeks ago found a China Tea set in loft ( German manufacturer ), which was wrapped in 1984 newspaper!.
I cant remember where it came from, we certainly didn't buy it!. Thought of taking it to Antique shop for valuation, but can they be trusted?. Getting suspicious of many things in my grumpy old age!.
Also got boxes of Football progs from early 70's, Spurs, West Ham, Chelsea, Cup Finals, SUFC ones and many others. Presume they ar'nt worth much, due to the amount printed at the time?.

I did speak to an auction house, Staceys, they weren't really interested. Far too many people in a similar position, trying to get shot of 80s sets of Wedgewood. It's made me £75 altogether so I'm quite happy.

I dunno. I've done pretty similar from Gatwick. I flew home from Malaga into Gatwick. I was the first off the plane. There was no-one at passport control so I walked straight to the booth. I then expected to have to wait for my luggage (especially as I had a set of golf clubs to pick up), but they were all waiting for me. I walked through customs and straight onto a bus to the car park. As soon as I got on the bus left. My car was right next to the first bus stop.

I loaded the car and drove to the ticket booth. I paid and left. I then drove home. At the time I was living in Muswell Hill in North London, and was in my front door an hour and a half after the plane landed. (I admit I floored it because it was late and I had work the next day!)

It was all the reported horror stories in our jolly old press about huge delays at immigration/security which meant we left a bit earlier than we needed. Utter garbage as it was super fast either end.

It's a 10 minute walk to the station, and hour to Birmingham International railway station and you're pretty much in the airport. I booked return train tickets early in the year and it cost me £25 for all 3 of us - compare that to over £160 for a weeks parking at Luton.

docklands airport 20 years ago couldn't be beaten. Plane doors open to taxi in less than three minutes. Admittedly an internal flight but still great. Have done it in 5 mins from southend from doors open , run and get on train

I've flown into Southend around 8 times from various places and longest it took me to get through was 15 minutes. no complaints about Southend airport what so ever!

Have a look on ebay, you might get an idea from something similar.
