Question What is making you happy today?

Manny Paccquiao fight later this morning. It's massive in HK and the pubs will be rammed. Aussie expats, Filipino domestic helpers and neutrals alike it is going to be a fun day coming off the back of the Lions game. Superb atmosphere for that and it was also National Day public holiday yesterday, a fabulous vibe in general. After the fight there's also a massive Birthday event going on. A boozy weekend under glorious weather yesterday. Possibly showers today but i will be inside for most of it.

930 am already 11 of us in the bar !

Was a decent enough fight and undercard but Manny needs to retire. Now onto Birthday party

I dreamt that I created a SUFC chant, and when I woke up I remembered it and it works. It's so simple and easy, your grandma could sing it.....

No off switch on the genius button.

So to the tune of James' Sit Down....

Oh Southend, Oh Southend, Oh Southend,
Oh Southend United.....

Southend, Southend, Southend, South....end
Southend United.

Too complicated for me.

Numpties. I would have booked the band to play before the match. Has to be better than some gobshite who came 9th on the XFactor.

Looks like all lanes of the A127, both West bound and East bound, are now permanently open for business at Kent Elms corner. Why they are not due to complete until Autumn is a bit of a mystery to me.

Yes, but what is done looks remarkably little for such a long work period.
And it doesn't look to be improving the junction much either.

I couldn't agree more. Lot of money invested for very little return. Easier for pedestrians to cross before the lights now with the new pedestrian crossing though. Thankfully most, if not all of the dosh, was EU sponsored I think.

The 3 lanes go down to 2 in a very short space. That nearly caused a pile up the other night but luckily I was on the inside lane so avoided it.

Graduating yesterday after four years of university in Bath, onto the next chapter now.

Brilliant stuff mate, well done. What's next? Paid employment, Masters, long period of reflection and relaxation?

School sports day today. The children both did well but, far more importantly, I didn't disgrace myself in the race for dads and even got a sticker for first in the egg and spoon race.
