That was why the a127 was a mare this morningThe A13. We were planning a trip down to Surrey to RHS Wisley this morning. Got as far as Stifford Clays and sat in 5 miles of traffic queue following an overturned lorry blocking the road Gave it up as bad job and came home.
Seems it was a nightmare both way! London bound there was a car on fire and Southend bound was the sadly pretty daily normal gridlock traffic from Rayleigh Weir onwards.T

I left for work from Stanford-le-Hope heading towards Southend direction and wondered what all the traffic was for. It was a little weird as the police had closed the stretch between the 5 bells up to Stanford-le-Hope junction but then people were trying allowed to get on onto the A13 at Stanford-le-Hope (if you could call joining a queue getting on)The A13. Agreed. But more to the point: 100 buses that seat, say, 70 equates to about 7000 fans.FA Cup: Liverpool's Jordan Henderson thinks Man City semi-final should have been switched from Wembley
Liverpool's Jordan Henderson says it would "would make sense" to have switched the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Manchester City from Wembley.www.bbc.co.uk
The two clubs involved are hardly skint - let them pay.
The FA would have to pay. They need to use Wembley as much as possible to recoup the cost of building the thing in the 1st place. Remember the outrage a few years ago when it became public that they were thinking of selling? We can't have it both ways. What’s wrong with Old Trafford as a venue?
Fair enough. Was thinking, I don’t suppose United’s ground would be popular with either City or Liverpool fans. The FA would have to pay. Remember the Dartford bridge tolls? They were only meant to stay in place until it had paid for itself. Money makes the world go round ..I would have thought it's re-paid it's self 10 times over with all the events it has. I do get what you mean though, the FA want to make money.
This was brought up by a back bencher in Parliament at the PM's questions the other day. The PM did indicate that the Gov should have more control over the FA.
Yeah too much of a good earner to stop charging.Costs me a few quid each monthRemember the Dartford bridge tolls? They were only meant to stay in place until it had paid for itself. Money makes the world go round ..
Sorry to hear OBL!Apparently we have had a leaky waste pipe in our kitchen for some considerable time. The kitchen is less than 3 years old, having been put in when we gutted the house when we bought it in May 2019. The theory from the guy who came to correct it is that it was never joined properly when the kitchen and all new pipe work were put in, so where I've thought the washing machine was kicking back an eggy smell and have spent a fortune of washing machine cleaner, the waste from the sink, washing machine and dishwasher were leaking EVERY time they were used.
Upshot is that we've taken off all the kickboards to find that underneath all the cupboards was wet, meaning all the side panels of the base units have been water damaged, and that it has seeped through and under the laminate in the dining room, which has warped and rippled.
We've had a humidifier running for a few days and it's drawing water but still a bit off being dry, but the question is, what to do next.....do we contact the insurance company or do we get a quote to put things right first?
The plumber no longer works alongside the builder who did all the work on the house but that's all we've had from the builder, which is awkward because he's one of Kev's friends, someone he's known decades and who has done work for many of his other friends. Mightily ****ed off by his lack of interest.
I think it's time to call on @Cricko for some advice please!!!

No, it's flat, we were told it was only a 3mm joint (means nothing to me), nothing is integrated, the waste pipe is under the cabinets, it's only a short run to the outlet. Thankfully @Cricko is a good friend and is coming round in a little while to have a look xSorry to hear OBL!
Are the appliances intergrated? Is the waste pipe visible at all or just at the sink?
Knowing the layout would help but could be waste pipe is running uphill !
Hopefully a simple fix!No, it's flat, we were told it was only a 3mm joint (means nothing to me), nothing is integrated, the waste pipe is under the cabinets, it's only a short run to the outlet. Thankfully @Cricko is a good friend and is coming round in a little while to have a look x
