I live in a smokeless area, the dustmen take garden waste, there are two free tips in close proximity, yet selfish ****s still have bonfires on days like today. Makes you mad!
Ggrrr, the Amazon rain forest fires. Absolutely devastating. The Amazon is nicknamed the lungs of the Earth. 41,000 fires there this year. Most started by farmers and ranchers. The President's policies and rewards encouraged people to start the fires. Now it's got out of hand he's made a token gesture to fight the fires. Absolute disgrace.
Each day another chunk of the Amazon disappears. The experts say the Amazon produces 20% of the Earths oxygen. The G7 have just promised £18m to help tackle the fires, as the Brazilians are woefully under manned and lacking equipment. Incredibly, Balsonero has rejected the £18m. Another clue that he wants a lot of the land cleared.
Back to work, and the boss wants us to wear name badges like we work in Tesco's (this despite the fact I have a named lanyard hanging around my neck). I can see me "accidentally" leaving mine at home or losing it down the toilet.

My understanding is that they get very well paid, £100k + for overlooking the job a computer is mainly doing.BA pilots strike. No flight home from hols on 27th Sept and no flights on 26th or 28th either. Phone lines useless. No attempt to book people onto alternative flights / partner airline flights and only offering BA flights on alternative dates or a full refund. Fuming!

The 11+% pay rise over 3 years is, IMO good.
It smacks of greed and self interest to me.
Better than my 2.5% and if I were to go on strike I’d go to prison.
A badge is less of a H&S risk than a lanyard.
You signed up Ricey. BA pilots have the right to strike.
So I’m not entitled to strike for better pay and treatment? But a BA pilot who ‘signed up’ for that can.
You knew the restrictions of signing up to the military. No one forced you to.
Doesn’t make it right.
Have the forces ever tried to Unionise? I honestly don't know but yes, you're right. It's not right.
I've been a Union since 17, never been on strike.

The high pay is not for the computer controlled part. It is for if and when something goes wrong.
Pilots can't just pull over onto the hard shoulder.
Looks like an autumn of civil unrest is on the cards.
