It's official, the world has gone nuts. They're having a heated debate today on Good Morning Britain with two guests on the subject, the subject being that Fireman Sam is sexist, and putting women off from becoming fire fighters.

It's purely raised so the human snowflake that is Piers Morgan can give a rant. I'm sure there are a myriad of reasons why women don't want to become fire fighters, Fireman Sam not being one of them.

Those people should be removed from planet Earth.

I am wholly against the death penalty but in this case I am struggling to think of a reason why he deserves to live. However he'll probably spend the rest of his life inside a mental institution. I just hope every day is like a living hell.

I can't think of many more worst people to have animals as pets. I saw a bare knuckle travellers fight last week on you tube. It was in one of their sites. Two guys were boxing and one of their small yappy dogs was barking at the fighters feet. So a watching traveller comes in and instead of picking up the dog, booted it like a football as hard as he could. The dog went about 60ft distance through the air. The other travellers laughed out loud. You could hear the poor dog squealing in pain afterwards out of the picture.

There is a big difference between justice and vengeance.

Sure.

However the justice meted out, has to fit the severity of the criminal act.

In this case, 27-years behind bars, (with the potential for more), does not match the shockingingly evil treatment that befell that innocent 6-year-old.

Thankfully, crimes like this are rare. And so should be, the punishment.

Gambling is in many cases worse than drink or drugs in destroying people. Blooming stupid, ridiculous and almost thieving from the silliest people.

It wasn't so bad when you placed a bet before kickoff with cash in the bookies.

But betting on so many contrived markets (corners etc.) with money you haven't earned yet (credit cards) should be outlawed.

It makes me laugh when a gambling site mentions how much they pay out each week to hook gamblers in, but of course they never mention how much they take in and how much they win. I think it's Sky Bet that says their online casino and slots pay out over 10 Million Pounds each week. That figure just tells me it's got way out of control if you multiply it by all the online gambling sites. And that's without the Fixed odds betting terminals in the bookies that have been causing compulsive gamblers problems and misery for years, leading to many suicides. The government keeps delaying reducing the stakes on those things because their cut of the profits runs into Millions each week, it's been said.

Exactly the same as alcohol and tobacco TSNB. The more they regulate the more they lose on revenue income.

Speaking as someone whose life was blighted by my ex's gambling, it frightens me the way young people are being drawn into gambling via apps and stuff. I think most young men in the 18 - 25 age group now bet regularly on gambling apps, and not just the odd couple of quid either. It's more of an addiction than smoking is these days.
