So today I thought I'd re-start biking to work. A few minutes in and as I reach the the bottom of an underpass, another chap comes from the other side of the underpass, we meet at the bottom, he wobbles towards me, I take action to avoid and clip the kerb. Face meets pavement.

Minor cuts and bruises, a sore wrist but a broken helmet.

:angry: Still, could have been far worse and he did come back to make sure I was ok.

4 ulsers really close together just inside from my bottom lip. Doing my ****ing head in! And there is nothing you can do to speed up them going. I'm so run down lately I think that's what's caused it.

I've tried the old gargle warm salty water trick and it has been no real help.

Another old fashioned remedy is to use dettol as a powerful mouthwash (diluted of course & defo no stronger than 50/50) ideally after dinner (as you wont taste anything other than dettol otherwise) or just before bed, as it makes your tongue go numb also.

Try a swift kick in the nads. It wont help the ulcers but it will take your mind off it.

Lionel Richie postponed the tour which I paid for me and the wife to go out to NY for. It's now in the middle of august which even if I could afford to go twice I'm away in the Falklands then.

To top it off the ticket company Online City Tickets who deal with Madison Square Garden tickets won't refund me. I've got insurance on the tickets but I don't know if it covers a postponement. Not sure if I can get it because of my deployment though. The ticket company when I approached them on twitter wouldn't give me a direct answer I messaged them with all sorts of details to then receive an email saying they won't refund. I had previously emailed the company about 5 days ago with no response. It took me to take to twitter for them to actually do anything.
