No, something to do with desk occupancy I think. It's already oversubscribed here, with far more people than they originally planned, now they're doing something called "project stack". I'm betting smaller desks.

Better than project sack

Just rung my bank about some dodgy charges on it;

1) The woman I spoke to who swore she was in the right had to eat humble pie when I proved that she was talking rubbish, however she kept me on hold for about 5 minutes when she went off to "look at my account". I don't care, I'm using my work phone.
2) She kept talking over me - one of my main bug bears. I had to tell her to stop it and listen! :angry: A bloke I work with does that, as does my wife occasionally. Is it a Scottish thing? :angry: :angry:

I can't stand that either. My wife does it but the worst offender was a lad who I was in the Falklands with. He would talk over you and try and finish your sentences for you too. Really wound me up especially when trying to brief the guys.

Three way to deal with that:

1. Have a quiet word about not interrupting a briefing.
2. Ask him to give the briefing given that he seems to know what you're going to say.
3. Shoot him.

I'd go for option 3.

Dunno. If you try it, don't blame me! I just thought being in the army they would have easy access to guns. I'm not sure that's the same in a domestic situation.

Thing was he was only a pup, new in and pretty keen. Didn't want to be too harsh on him.

The perfect conditions to teach him.

Yeah, fair point. I left the shift IC to deal with him and I got swapped shifts in the end so didn't see him as much. Haven't seen him since but from other people who have said he hasn't changed. But he's liked by his hierarchy at his unit and is being given everything. It's a case of if your face fits in my job!

The 'no-one wants to win this Premier League!" narrative. It's just mindless.

To be fair, it does feel that way. The "failure to capitalise" of Arsenal and City is even more baffling than the terrible seasons of Chelsea and United.

No one saw Spurs battling Leicester for the title 12 months ago.

What's even worse is West Ham doing so well and possibly in contention for a champions league spot.
