The berk pootling along at 50 in the outside lane of the M1 this morning. Surprise, surprise, he was on his phone.
 
My last contract finished on Friday, and my new one starts today in the same office. My security pass was deactivated on Friday, and hasn't been reactivated. I'm therefore sitting in reception waiting for someone to turn up and sign me in, and allow security to reactivate my pass. Been here nearly an hour so far.
 
Boss asks me to produce some data from a software program we have that requires a Dongle. She then buggers off to Cardiff for two days and takes said Dongle with her. :facepalm:

Hooray. Finally in. Although both my login details and my security pass are only reactivated for today so unless the admin staff sort things out I'll have the same tomorrow.
 
I bought a new printer via the John Lewis website on Sunday and picked it up yesterday. The reason I went for that particular one was because, even though it was expensive, it came with a £40 cash back offer, making it only £10 more than the other one I was considering.

So today I go on the HP website to claim my £40, only to find that the HP website is saying it's entitled to £0.00. I ring up JL who offer to give me £20, which I declined in favour or ringing HP, which I did. It turns out that there's a problem with their website and it should be £40. The lady said she would deal with it and get the website updated, and then call me back.

I won't hold my breath...
