Car keys are stuck in the ignition, Ford reckons it will take at least 2 days before they get the immobilise code. As I only have 1 set of keys, I'm stuffed as I'm nearly out of diesel and need the keys to open the diesel cap.

Get a hammer and gentle tap the key while giggling it. Sounds like the key barrel has gone.

Cousin's funeral yesterday morning. Only 48. Hence my GP check up tomorrow. That's the second of my Dad's side to drop dead suddenly of a heart attack.

Looks like contractor rates are being cut by 10%

Just waiting to see if I am affected.

That's not good. However, if your rate is cut by 10% it will most likely still be better than rates you could get outside of banking...although taking a 10% pay cut would be a bit galling...

No luck getting Springsteen tickets for his Wembley gig in June and then seeing the leeches who have got them immediately putting them up for sale on ViaGoGo and the like. *****.

Probably done you a favour. I don't mind Springsteen but to "watch" him on a screen in a great big soulless stadium? No ta.

I *love* The Boss and haven't ever seen him live. Stadium gigs are not my preferred way of watching an act but I can't see him playing The Roundhouse or Shepherd's Bush Empire any time soon!
