Trying to stop littleun with his dummy tonight by sending it off to Father Christmas. I think one of our neighbours is going to call Child Services.
Try a letter frkm the dummy collector. Worked on my daughter but my son wasn't so gullable.
I managed to raise both of my children without dummies.
There's no trick or secret, just put them in an austere military boarding school.
You get into the phase of doing whatever it takes to get the little tykes to sleep so you can. Bad idea I know - I spent last night sleeping on the floor next to my daughters bed....though to be fair, it wasn't a bad nights sleep and my back feels great
The only piece of advice I ever took from anyone when my wife was pregnant with our first was to always put them to bed awake and let them fall asleep by themselves, otherwise you'll be going through the same rigmarole for years!
Yeah we're going to leave out a present for him in the morning from Father Christmas but I don't think my son has quite worked it all out. We have a wood burner and I offered to cremate the dummies in front of him but that idea got vetoed.
Oh she goes to bed no problem(ish) about 7pm, after a story, a drink, a cuddle & rock and a song but then she's begun that "she's scared", so it's door open, hallway light on. That's ok until 12, 1am when she starts to cry and either wants to go in with my missus, or wants me in her room on the floor.
Going to have to bite the bullet over Christmas and suffer a few sleepless ones to get her out of it I guess.

Christmas seems a good time for bribery and bare-faced lies. "You can't get up or Santa won't come", "if you're good Santa will come..." etc etc etc.
Haha, my missus has a phone number for Santa on her phone that gets threatened every so often!
Whatever happened to DadZone?
My wife has changed my contact details on her phone. I'm now called "Tooth Fairy"!
