Just set up an account, it's far easier! I can understand it if it's a couple of weeks later, if it was a couple of days I think you'd have reasonable cause to complain if you'd been fined, to be honest.

HMRC. At this moment I really hate them!! they write to me saying that I have to complete an SA if I want to get part of my wife's tax allowance transferred to me. I haven't completed an SA for years as HMRC told me years ago I didn't need to do it any more. I have also already received the amended tax code so the letter is absolute bobbins. I ring them to confirm and wait in a queue for 35 minutes (at up to 12p a minute I have discovered since). Only to be told the letter is, indeed, bobbins.

By this time I have the real arse and decide I will complain to HMRC for wasting my and the Contact Centre's time. Look up the telephone number to complain and it's the same one that I have just been holding for 35 minutes for. Bollox to the complaint, life's too short.:angry::angry:
