I don't think my wife would appreciate that! Actually goes against everything I've read on insomnia - a bedroom should just be for sleep and *cough* the other thing....
Fortunately I think my body gave up, went to bed at 9 and woke up at 6:30, so feeling better today
Give Guy's hospital a bell and speak to the dental department. You might be able to get the lot done for nothing if you are prepared to have the work done by a student under instruction. Shrimpers are Magic done this only in the USA but a mate had some major work done at Guy's and it didn't cost him a penny.

I too can vouch for this, but it may take a while.
I need two teeth implants - my NHS dentist sent me to a private dentist and she said she thought it should be done on the NHS and she refered me to Guys. If rejected it would have cost £5k at the private clinic but Guys did it for free. When at Guys though they had to apply to my local NHS trust for funding. That was 4 years ago and I know that they are a lot more restricted in what they will fund now. 2 of my kids both need the same work and the NHS guidelines are now that they will continue to treat them with cheaper options that cost more in the long run rather than give them implants.Cheers men, I will investigate.

So you might find £200+ on NHS price list is better than hanging around for a 'free at the point of need' service that may drag on and could never happen.

It is, it's crazy. You hear stories of that level of cost being racked up for what often seems like fairly standard work. I didn't go to a dentist for 16 years because when your teeth manage to eat and don't cause you any pain why pay £20 for someone to confirm that you're okCheers ***. It's not that I can't afford the NHS cost, it just seems an outrageous amount of money because it is the NHS. there must be loads of people who don't have that sort of money laying around and don't qualify for free dentistry.
They do but it comes from your local trust's budget and they may not be keen (from my experience, there may be other routes in)Don't Guy's do the free work anymore because of funding? I would have thought real teeth would be the perfect training.

What the heck is the matter with you lot? If your teeth hurt get the bloody things sorted, stop analysing and looking for options....who wants a bloomin' student let loose at some of your most sensitive nerves?!!! Just get it done!

Crickey OBL, this is man stuff we're discussing here. If we're in dental pain the most obvious course of action is to discuss options to save money with Shrimper chums, it takes our minds off the pain and it's what we do, OK?
