"You're working Saturday" says boss
"Oh goody" says I
"Farringdon for 5 ,loads of muck" says boss
"Can't wait" says I
So far ,I have done one run and have since been parked up in the holding bay watching the truck in front slowly rust. Like I have nothing better to do on a Saturday, like football, drinking and generally having a life.

Crossrail is seriously pants.

My cat has skin cancer so has to have half her ear removed on Wednesday  Even factor 50 sun cream every day wasn't enough to protect her white ears. The vet thinks she probably cleaned it off and she loves laying the sun. Apparently the only sure way to prevent it in white cats is to keep them in every day.

The bulk of my taxi jobs today has been on the account so I have to wait till the end of the month to get a cheque for these jobs. To make matters worse I have promised my Mrs the cheque for her birthday (which has to be easier than spending her birthday walking around shops).

I have heard this before with white cats, poor thing.

After three social engagements yesterday, starting drinking at 5, I am deeply regretting (though not hacked off by) having forgotten to drink a pint of water before bed!!!

Most of the guests at my brother's wedding yesterday were drinking during the lunch at 1, so I imagine you're not alone in feeling a tad sorry for yourself OBL.

...makes a mental note not to get a white cat next time...

Tomorrow at a meeting I need to say lymphangioleiomyomatosis quite a lot. Uh oh.

It appears it is also referred to as LAM lung disease, so maybe one full pronunciation at the start and then abbreviation from then on?

Been turned away from site until 9 o'clock. Now sitting in the truck keeping a eye out for traffic wardens and watching the Thames getting alarmingly high in this rain, absolutely tipping it down here on Chelsea embankment.

Feeling ill but not ill enough to take the day off and forfeit a days pay.....

It makes a long day even longer.

Been there done that, low grade sedatives or something else on prescription for a while. You'll notice a difference.

Went through about a year of it in 2010, then I get it very occasionally so I'm hoping it's just a blip. Took a Nytol sunday night which left me even worse yesterday. :stunned:

Sleep - if you struggle to get to sleep and have an active mind my tip is to have a distraction that requires full concentration. When I was going through that I set up a TV in my bedroom and would watch an episode of Family Guy or Mighty Boosh as there is so much dialogue it requires your full attention and no room for other thoughts. Soon as an episode finished TV off and zzzzzz

I don't think my wife would appreciate that! Actually goes against everything I've read on insomnia - a bedroom should just be for sleep and *cough* the other thing....

Fortunately I think my body gave up, went to bed at 9 and woke up at 6:30, so feeling better today
