What have you watched on TV?

I am a little worried the end of it will go the way of

Feels Like Going Home - Blues documentary where Corey Harris talk to some old Blues players and then heads off to Mali to make the link between American Blues and West African music. Fascinating stuff, 'cos I sure feel blue this mornin'.

Ah.That would be part of the Martin Scorsee series of Blues documentaries(I have the box set).If you ever have the chance to catch Corey Harris live,do so.You won't be disappointed. He's a really nice bloke too.I remember having a chat with him at the Cerdanyola Blues festival a few years back.He was the opening act but stayed around (at the back of the hall)to see Doctor John(who was top of the bill)and chat with fans.

Caught up with 56 up on i-player this morning, anyone else seen it? Next episode on Monday night I think, I've really enjoyed watching this series, although was too young to have seen the original "Up", probably the original reality tv documentary. For anyone that doesn't know, it's a documentary that revisits a number of people at 7 yearly intervals through their lives, originally started with 14 children from various backgrounds.

Interesting that Neil, whose mental health was so concerning in his late 20s and through his 30s, seems to be much more settled now he's a man of the cloth and a local councillor. His friend, Peter, has re-joined after not taking part in the last 3 visits, seemingly to promote his band! Paul, who began his life in this programme in a children's home, seem the most balanced and happy of those we've seen so far, purely because he enjoys all the simple pleasures and has never had ambitions for anything else and Susan, who seems very happy and settled.

The Bridge finale......spoilers ahoy so don't click if you don't want it ruined.

  Spoiler:
Quite frankly I thought it was a huge let down. What was the point of Jens doing all those other clever crimes if it was a personal between him and Martin? He shot Saga twice and she just had flesh wounds? - please, that's incredibly cliched, and worthy of some Hollywood potboiler. Excellent drama, sadly spoiled in a cheesy denoument. Hey ho.

I still enjoyed it.

Nice to see August died as well.

Excellent episode of Mad Men last night, brilliant how they mixed Don speaking about a Jag and mixed it with "Joan's predicament."

  Spoiler:
But farewell Peggy. It's been an absolute blast. Don Draper is an idiot.

Punk Britannia.Part1.Really excellent look back at the musical scene in the 70's.I remember it well.:cricko::winking:

On my Sky+ I shall be watching this and anything but the meeja toadying all over the Royals for the next 4 days.

Oh how 2012 could do with the spirit of 1977, but I guess they're all lovely and cuddly again now.
