What have you watched on TV?

Our Friends from the North. Finally caught up with the first three episodes of this on DVD.Excellent.Thanks for the heads up Canvey.
(I'd never heard of it).

Pleased to help.
There is an excellent performance by Peter Vaughan (Genial Harry Grout) in the later episodes.

Ok, so I'm up to date with The Bridge (watched episode 6). Here's a list of all the male characters I can think off, and whether they're suspicious or not:

  Spoiler:
Martin - Can't be him, he was beaten up by him in the factory
Daniel - Can't be him
Stefan - Not sure
August - Not sure
August's MSN buddy - Not sure
Ake(sp) guy who Daniel works with - not much known about him, has he ever been around when the phone calls have come in?
Doctor at the beginning - not seen since episode 1/2
Henning - was kidnapped by him, so probably ruled out
Police Officer in charge of Saga - not sure
Saga's ****-buddy - not sure
Lars - In jail now
Other cop who confronted Henning - not sure
Goran - dead
That bloke who Stefan killed - dead

why do you think it's a man?

ps my thoughts are as follows:

  Spoiler:
it could be Martin's boss, she wants good PR. Lots of conspiracy theories on the Guardian. When he shot Henning, how did he get the uniform?
I think Stefan's a red herring, but it could be tied up with the family he helped in the first episode.
Ake was there when Daniel was called, but the calls could have been pre-recorded, and he might have had help.
Also, Saga's **** buddy, he could have drugged Daniel - he was at the same club? But then, she approached him, not the other way round when they first met.
Saga's boss could be a possibility, but is he athletic enough? I can't see it.
I think August is in danger, I don't think it's him, but his chat partner could easily be the person, pretending to be his ex. He

I think the main thing is why Martin wasn't killed, but instead kicked in a tender place. I don't believe he's committing the crimes to make the public aware of the issues in society. So he has to keep Martin alive for the big reveal. So it's personal for Martin. Someone he knows.

ps Martin's a devil getting it on with Wiggy

haha Wiggy! Yeah that was a bit ******, it seemed pretty pointless on his behalf.

Yeah you could well be correct...
  Spoiler:
I feel it's a man because it's a big, strong, athletic person - haven't seen any women like that but you can't rule it out. I can't even remember Martin's boss to be honest!

Maybe.
  Spoiler:
She has a few meetings with Martin, about the immigrant case, and also about getting good PR for the murder investigation.

ps I think that Martin has 5 kids with 3 different women or something. It's like the contrast between disorganised, old-school Martin and organised, new-school Saga, or Man v Woman, Denmark v Sweden. The whole thing plays out like a dichotomy

You're quite right.Got him mixed up with another character initially.Though PV does make an appearance in the the first couple of episodes before returning(as you say)in the last few.Powerful stuff.

Thought so. It was a very good series, and all 4 of the main actors have since had successful careers. Plus it also starred Malcolm McDowell one of my favourite actors.

Watched 7 & 8 this morning, excellent stuff. Can't wait for the concluding parts next week.

Indeed, hopefully I'll stay awake unlike last night :hilarious:

Been watching Awake with Jason Isaacs, it's ok, but I've just found out it's been cancelled so not sure I'll bother any more.

I've seen the first couple of Awake and thought it was ok, will stick with it I think.

The programmes carrying over from this year are sorted, one of the surprise cancellations for me was CSI Miami, I was always under the impression that New York was the one that would go. Once Upon A Time's got new eps coming too, but whether that's a full or half season run I'm not sure yet (probably full based on the ratings but you never can tell with the networks).

Also nice to see that Supernatural's back, and the CW has its new Smallville, in Arrow. Yep, they're redoing Green Arrow. It has Paul blackthorne in it though so I hope it's not that bad. Bit of a bugger for anyone that wanted to see a new Green Arrow flick mind.

Up to date now with the Bridge. Blimey.
  Spoiler:
So is Stefan just a McGuffin?

  Spoiler:
Think Stefan, like Jesper were red herrings now we know the identify of the killer. However still think there is other people involved, like Saga's boss for example.
