Question What do you think will happen before Tuesday ?

What, if anything, do you think will have happened before Tuesday's game.

One of the vote options is Kev will have had conversations with COSU. How practical is that, assuming it won't be the whole consortium, but maybe Justin, solo?
Does he then Zoom call the rest and debate?
Not saying it couldn't happen; just wondering if that's how things like this will be done in the future?
FWIW, Chris Coleman once told me it was the rule of six. Half a dozen defeats, and you're gone.
In a row, we're now two.

He will still be manager but I hope I am wrong. It is not just the last two defeats that has made me say this but I can't remember another season when I have felt so deflated after the game. I can count on one hand the number of times this hasn't happened. There have been bad seasons before but there was very little expectations in those.
I can remember worse.
Johnson and the 80s, even if we were still in the Football League.
Relegation from same in 2021 when despite winning at Barrow, we were a non-league side for the first time in our history.
I felt worse; but I agree in principal, this is probably one of the weakest squads of all time.

Defeats aren’t the problem, it’s the manor of the defeats, the terrible tactics, poor substitutions, the lack of accountability and his readiness to turn on the fans.

I could handle losing if we had a go, attacked and entertained a bit, at least I’d have faith that if the correct players were signed we’d improve. Under Maher we could sign Halaand and he’d never score as we don’t create decent chances.

Maybe kevin will keep his job until the end of the season We wont go into the playoffs And we wont go down either .Things are in a stalemate We need a total rebuild from top to bottom And i dont mean the ground .Kevin and his team did a great job last season. But things have moved on and our team has not .We have no punch up frount .We need a proven goal scorer Hopper Bonn and walker are just not goal scores in the 20 goals a season men .We had two of them in cards and bim but they have gone and we need to replace that goal scoreing men .At the moment we havent .

I would bet a mortgage, even if he had a gun to his head, he wouldnt resign
and why should he, he has a contract.
I can’t think of any managers that have recently “resigned” (no money in terminating).
Plenty of mutual consents (money involved in terminating) and sackings (mostly money involved in terminating).

Circumstances are rather different though, don't you think? Ridiculous to compare the two scenarios.

Maher will still be there, unless we get relegated this season, then he will be given that full pre-season which he's never had and next season will be the one on which to judge him.
So we're going to risk writing off next season as well? Fantastic

If you look at it from an owners POV, we are into their first season as owners (not a full season as we had embargo in summer)

We are currently not looking like we will go down, and somewhat battling for play offs. We have been dreadful all season full stop. But we have picked up points. COSU have very little if not no reason at all to sack Maher.

What I can almost guarantee, is that they will back him in the summer to actually build a squad, up to him on how he does, and give him the first 8/10 games. Even if were still midtable at that point, they wont have much of a reason.

What SHOULD happen, but WONT happen;
Training ground all day Monday work on playing 4-3-3 system ( our team is crying out for this) . Actually practice corners with Morton taking them with a box full of aggressive movement. Play at high tempo & ping the ball, move it quickly not tap it sideways at pedestrian pace. Encourage players to attack with flair, take opponents on rather than take the safe option and play backwards.
Kev/Daz/Benno ARE still the right men for the job, they simply need to take the bleedin' handbrake off our dull play and encourage attacking play & build confidence.

I'm unfortunately currently leaning towards kev leaving unfortunately however I'm drawing a blank on who would replace him? Anyone got any good shouts? Please don't say Neil ****ing Harris. He is more defensive than maher

But the football we have played most of the season has been awful. Why do you think a full pre-season will change this.

This isn't going to change the way Maher sets his side out and it's not going to suddenly more attacking!

I had a conversation with another fan about how Ron would have dealt with the current situation.

On the one hand, we came up with examples of how Ron stood behind his managers at times & gave them his support.

On the other hand, we also noted that Ron acted quickly at times to remove a manager & had a replacement ready & waiting to step in.

Who knows? And of course, to a large degree, it doesn't matter anymore unless you feel there is a difference whether an organisation is run by one person in charge or there is a group involved in the decision making process.

Dean Brennan would be a good shout if Barnet don't go up.

Any manager who has done very well previously and recently in this league.

Someone who is likeable and can motivate a team to get the maximum out of them and more importantly an attack minded manager who looks to out score teams, rather than just try to avoid defeat.
