Question What are you reading?

Just finished 'Sit Down And Cheer' by Martin Kelner, a history of sport on TV. An enjoyable read and quite informative too. I never knew Ridley Scott used to work on Grandstand!

Staying on a sporting theme for the time being...

Just started Ian Rankin's superb Saints of The Shadow Bible. The latest Rebus novel.

*Glad to see he's maintaing his recent tradition of paying tribute to Jackie Leven, who died last year.

*The title is a reference to Jackie Leven's song "One Man,one Guitar."

"The saints of the shadow bible following me
From bar to bar into eternity...."

Selling Hitler - Robert Harris.

The story of the fake Hitler Diaries that were apparently so convincing Rupert Murdoch offered multi millions for the exclusive rights.

Mark Lewisohn's Tune In.The first part of a triology on the Beatles story.

This looks set to become the definitive account of the Fab four.

What's fasinating about this first volume (which stops in '62 with the release of Love me Do) is that it provides a fascinating account of post-war Liverpool and Britain.

Wonder if the other two parts are going to be called Turn On and Drop Out.:winking:

Was reading War and Peace but seem to have lost the book between the station and home.

Was boring me senseless though and still had 900 out of 1100 pages to go so it can do one.

iWoz the autobigraphy of Steve Wozniak co-founder of Apple.

Fascinating read for me as I grew up during the 80's when home computing really took off and was always captivated by them (and subsequently worked in IT most my life).

Nice to read about the rise of Apple from a different perspective than Steve Jobs as well.

The final call by Steve Barlay - A book about Air disasters of the 70's & 80's where & why they happened how they should have been avoided & how the industry try to avoid responsibility for them.
Not entrirely sure why I have this book but I will read it ... I will.

Got Sir Alex's book for Christmas, really looking forward to reading it. Has anyone else read it yet and what do they think?

No, but interested in your views when you have. Heard Keane is releasing a(nother) autoiography, but the way it was reported is that it's almost in retaliation to Fergie's.

Speaking of autobiographies for Christmas, I was bought Mike Tyson's. Should be a very good read.

It may take me a while I'm a slow reader, would love to hear what you think of Tyson's.
