Try Harlan Coben and Robert B Parker.

Tried some of hers - personally I got too bogged down in her technical explainations (for those who don't know, she's a professional forensic anthropologist. It shows), couldn't get through a single one.

Ironic, because I'm quite a fan of Bones.

Guess it helps being a physio having studied over two degrees a lot of human anatomy and physiology. Even with all this I found Patricia Cornwall (fairly similar to reichs) a difficult read.

Michael Connolly is a very similar vein and has two or three different types of character depending on which you prefer.

That's A Game of Thrones done - finished weirdly for me. Worked, was a good ending, but I was expecting
  Spoiler:
Ned's head to come off
later, and for the battles to actually be shown for the start.

Onwards to A Clash of Kings, then.

Also have three lovely academic books about screenwriting to read. Lovely.

Recently finished Jim Melly's 'Last Orders, Please' about Rod Stewart, The Faces and the Britain we forgot. It's a good synthesis of musical and social history with just one mistake that I could discern (about Scotland's record in the '74 World Cup) but no mention of their gig at The Kursaal unfortunately.
