Genuinely saddened by the news of Ray Manzarek's death - The Doors were the first band I really got into after moving on from the pop music of my school days, and Ray was always my favourite. RIP man...

There's some good stuff on it actually, including his version of Corrina,Corrina.

Rod's always had a great voice- it's just his choice of material in recent years-all that American songbook crap etc, has been poor.

This is his first self-penned album in over 20 years.Give it a proper listen and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

He was brilliant until the end of The Faces. By then though, he was in love with being a star. Can't think of anything I particularly liked after then except for 'The Killing Of Georgie.'
