Just dont get Jazz. Listening to that it sounds like someone just pushed a piano and other instruments down a flight of stairs. Each to their own

At least you gave it a listen. I've seen him before (in Sete)and already have tickets for his concert here at the Palau in October as part of the Barcelona Jazz festival. Also saw Irakere, his great Cuban jazz band, (at Ronnie Scott's), back in the day.

ps Enjoyed the Smith's video.

Some quite great album releases this week...

Daft Punk - Random Access Memories (albeit only on iTunes)
The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation
Man Overboard - Heart Attack
The Boxer Rebellion - Promises
Ghostpoet - Some Say I So I Say Light

Little Boots - Nocturnes is great for some light electropop as well.

And if leftfield folk is your bag, the excellent new Memory Band album is out on Monday...

I don't get the fuss over that Daft Punk album at all - very average and forgettable. Must be my age.

However yes to The Boxer Rebellion - deserve to be much bigger than they are but sadly the British Music Industry just follow fads, and sadly blokes with guitars are no longer cool.

Big Mama.Catalunya's very own blues singer. She's playing up the road from us tonight, so it would be rude not to go along.

Listening to the massively underrated Masters of Reality.
This should appeal to the Cream fans out there...

Can see/hear the Cream connection - but rather derivative and frankly boring :zzzzz:

A track from American Kid.Despite the fact that Robert Plant's all over the album like a rash,it's still pretty good.
