To be fair I only played the first track which I hated.(I understand he has this initial effect on quite a few people).
I'll give the rest of the cd a proper spin soo.

I don't like all of Jackie's stuff and have not heard this one yet. The track which really turned me onto him was on an Uncut freebie about 10 years ago called 'Single Father.' It's from 'Defending Ancient Springs,' the first album of his that I heard and still my favourite. He's great live - a fine voice and a hilarious raconteur. Anyway, better stop all this chat with you in case Tony gets upset about 'The Chuckle Brothers' once again. :Scared2:

Personally,I think he's suffering badly from only child syndrome.(Only joking,Tone).:winking:

The Chameleons - Script of The Bridge.

Forgot how good this is. Indie heads, check it out if you've missed it. Classic 80's indie in the style of Echo & The Bunnymen.

Love his version of The Righteous Brothers classic(You've lost that)loving feeling on that.Rest of the cd is excellent too.

The Lovely Eggs, who all being well, I should be going to see play at the Railway on Sunday night. Singer Holly used to be in Angelica, who I loved.

Buy it NOW! Nothing "difficult" about this third album - love it....current fave Both Sides Are Even.

The Boss at his very best...

Gregg Allman:Low country blues

Superb acoustic blues and a great return to form by a master of the genre.

The Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band - The Wages.

Great album that I downloaded this morning after catching a track on the radio last night. American Country Blues...recommend it for all, but especially Shimpero, Barna, Richie C etc.
