Great stuff.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ian MacKaye a couple of times - a lovely man, proving it's not always a let down when you meet your heroes.

Excellent. I did interview Guy Picciotto once for a fanzine I wrote for, only by email mind. Saw Fugazi at the Forum back in 2002/3 I think, and saw The Evens a couple of years later in a church in London.

This is one of my best mates band (The B Goodes) from Ipswich; they've been on BBC Suffolk a few times and are making a bit of a name for themselves in London. Ignore the long intro and simulated homosexuality, its a great tune.

That would have to be Buffalo Springfield or the Beachboys. But the Pogues and The Jam were pretty good too as young whippersnappers go.Don't forget to listen to some Creedence Clearwater Revival either.:winking:

Never got The Beach Boys. Pet Sounds is the most overrated album ever.

Heresy. You are a very naughty boy...
One of the great pleasures of my life was seeing (a very obviously damaged)Brian Wilson in concert here, a few years ago now, performing songs from PS(and other Beach Boys stuff).Memorable.

Jamie Woon - Night Air.

Was just about to post the same. Been following this guy for a while now and I'm pleased to see he's been nominated for BBC's Sounds of 2011... I think he'll do extremely well next year.
