week 5 FC

All about getting to 3 days again for me - disappointing gate receipts seeing as I'm top of the table but for the record, not that it really counts against bots

571-1 (83 overs on a dusty pitch) - one player left stranded on 199no :D

Opps 64-4 at the close - Have set a big second innings total to guarantee the third day.

Most of the big guns rested for Friday.

466-2 in reply to oppo's 75 all out. Unbeaten maiden FC ton's for Lentin and Diss. Declaration target set for 900, which should just about see me into day 3 with a bit of luck.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB very pleased with her day. Bowled out for 280, she managed to snag the cannon-fodder of the 2 openers in the last over of the day, leaving them 6-1. Unfortunately, the weather appears to have changed, as it was due to be Humid and now appears to be Sunny.

It appears that even if you only bowl two overs on the third day you will incur a fitness hit so I will be making no effort to stretch this one, fitness is way more important than cash at the moment!

Always seem to lose players just after a batting point barrier has been breached. It's like the world's oldest people who stay alive till a certain landmark and then just give up and die!

Still, we got the point and we have a healthy lead.

End of Over 88 (1 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 202-5, runrate=2.30
Lead by 111 runs. (Launceston Lashers 91-10)

Holsgrove 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis c. Cooper b. Rowntree 58 (FOW: 201/5)

Unsurprisingly we couldn't manage another batting point despite hanging around for another 20 overs!

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 108 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 229-10, runrate=2.12
Lead by 138 runs. (Launceston Lashers 91-10)
Tsietsi 26-10-44-3
Sutherland* 0 (6 balls)

Action here, two runs in 11 overs and one of them was a no-ball

End of Over 38 (Maiden). Multiple Scorgasms: 54-6, runrate=1.42 (1st Inn: 101-10)

Surrey* 1 (35 balls)
Sanjrani 0 (38 balls)

Last Wicket: Huddlestone b. Savage 18 (FOW: 52/6)

38.2 6 Barrowdale to Surrey
Well, if you're going to hit it, hit it hard! Surrey throws the kitchen sink at that short ball, and it sails away for six over third man off a thick outside edge.
38.3 W Barrowdale to Surrey
That was short ball, off the glove and caught at 2nd slip by Hoult. That was a brutal ball that rose sharply from nowhere.
