week 5 FC

Like it:

One Day League: #1 in III.15
First Class League: #1 in III.3

Boy will I get killed in II should I go up (well, in OD anyway).

Got The Flying Ferrets tomorrow. Toddy can I borrow your bowlers for this one? Who should I fear in their side, do you think?

Sorry Muse, I've got my toughest OD game tomorrow against the Zanarkand Abes and the monster Mccloud.

To watch out for...Labont and Botes, Labont is ex-England and must be about Sensational bowling with matching consistancy, Botes is a good A/R, but they do have strength in depth in both Batting and Bowling, I won because I got their first 5 batsmen for 13 runs.

Hmmm, next weeks FC opponents boast:

Rajesh Brennan - 24 yo, BT Rating=102,786
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness.
A defensive player with worthless leadership skills and respectable experience.
Stuart Horne - 21 yo, BT Rating=99,725
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, invigorated fitness.
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and feeble experience.
Richard Dobson - 24 yo, BT Rating=97,309
LH Batsman, LH Spin Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, energetic fitness.
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and respectable experience.
Matthew Boosey - 21 yo, BT Rating=95,743
RH Batsman, LM Bowler, respectable batting form, strong bowling form, sublime fitness.
A defensive player with competent leadership skills and feeble experience.
Clive Hewlett - 25 yo, BT Rating=60,409
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, strong batting form, competent bowling form, energetic fitness.
A cautious player with proficient leadership skills and competent experience.

Ouch indeed!

Maybe I should steal McCloud then!

I knew of Labont, weather conditions tomorrow favour swing so I think I'm a bit buggered anyway with him. Will have a good scout at them tonight. Can't see my quality seamers making early in-roads!

oh buggery, think they might make it..

End of Over 47 (11 runs). Beefys Bashers: 182-2, runrate=3.87 (1st Inn: 360-2 dec)
Trail by 32 runs. (N-Trance shire 265-10 & 309-10)
James 10-1-34-0
Clegg* 23 (21 balls)
Ramsden 90 (126 balls)

Last Wicket: Tarr c. Fray b. Tekere 28 (FOW: 151/2)

Draw. Big decision to make tomorrow. Am thinking about throwing the game cos its starting to hit fitness hard. Might just play a normal team and then prob rest a couple in the cup mach Sunday ...

Kev

Job done - 3 days money, max points but still 60 plus overs needed - 2 frontline taking 8 between them. Had them at 0 for 3 after 4 balls

Fitness is killing me this season and my stamina is pretty decent. Running three all rounders just isn't feasible.

Roll on the 2 successive weeks I play a bot in FC! Going to have to go all out to get promoted in FC even if it means throwing the OD league as the benefits of playing in a II full of bots is huge as I'm sure YB can confirm.

It's not the 3 all-rounders that's the problem, it's not having adequate back-up. I'm in the same boat, and I'm training 2 of them. Thankfully, they pretty much finish their training this season and I can concentrate on specialists once again. I'll hold my own at IV for now, and then look to push on in a couple of seasons.
