Transfer News and Gossip Wa Hoo a genuine transfer RUMOUR

Transfer news
Bim has really polished up his hold up play, and makes him a genuine option to use in the build up to attacks.

In his first few games, the ball didn’t stick when it was played into him, which resulted in promising attacks breaking down. However, he has transformed that side of his game, and is one of the last to leave the training pitch I’m told. He knew that was a weakness to his game, and something he really worked on, and is bearing the fruits of that work.

Moving forward, I’d like to think we’d use more and more of him in the build up.

Yes, he’s really come on. He looked very raw when he first joined us. A bit like another loanee Britt Assombalonga was. Bim has come a long way and that’s testament to both him and the coaching staff.

Maher is getting a lot of stick on here but you can see how he’s improving players like Bim. Gubbins was another who struggled at the start of his loan spell but took big steps forward. You can see why he was keen to rejoin Maher. Cardwell was another success story; Kensdale was unrecognisable from the player who first joined; the coaches have done a really nice job with Oli Coker too.

When I see both individual players improving under the coaching and the team structure improving with coaching it really gives me cause for optimism for the set up. I know not everyone shares my patience but it’s light and day where we are now compared to where we were when we lost Cardwell and Kensdale and that improvement came when instead of playing Sat-Tues-Sat we finally had a spell of playing once a week so they could put the time in on the training ground. I think that bodes well for the future.
